I took my 1st son to sure start here and it is by far the best I have ever found I sadly moved away from the area and tried other sure starts but nothing was as good as this nothing compared I am currently moving back to the area and am hoping to go back to the sure start with my other 2 children I have had/having since I made some great friends here as did my children my son even had his 1st bday party here Elaine and her team are amazing people and so an amazing job to shut this down would be a complete shame and will leave and massive hole in the community

This centre has been a lifeline for me. I have used its groups and services for both my boys and pregnancies.

This sure start centre managed by Elaine and team has proved to be invaluable for my family and it's growth! Please do not shut it down!

My granddaughter attends these groups & this has aided her development. It also gives her the opportunity to socialise with children of her own age. If this group closes down it will be a great loss to the community, more so these children will not be given the chance to develop sharing & interaction with other children. Surely this will also impact the teachers when they attend their first schools as their ability to interact has been reduced.

It is disappointing to hear that once again, the sure start centres are under threat. The foundations they lay down for education, socialisation as well as mental stimulation are unquestionably wonderful.
In addition, the support they give mothers (and fathers) both directly, and by allowing parents to meet and form friendships are critical, especially on those difficult days where you feel alone and need someone to talk to. "Yes. My child is crazy too. Don't worry, you're doing great" is always comforting.
This is not just some small, insignificant organisation to cast aside. Elaine and her team work very hard with little support and funding to do an awful lot to help the community.
I know they will continue to be an inspiration to many whatever the future may hold.

Elaine taught me when I was younger and she is one of the best women that I have ever met and she is an amazing role model for me! She has helped my family (aunt and niece) with the centre and Elaine can help many more, however we need Tunis petition to be signed!

A valuable centre from which my family have benefitted. As tax payers, our voice counts, too. We took long enough to get a SS centre & we should make sure we keep it.

I have heard of the great work this Children's Centre does. It would be very short sighted of Surrey County Council to close the Centre and remove this valuable local resource.

We have just moved to the area thanks to the center I could see a midwife before my notes had arrived at the gps, introduced to. Other new mums and offered groups for my older toddlers. Please don't close the center or we would be lost for local activities and the rooms would stand idle wasting tax payers money when it could be supporting the community.

This place is loved by so many! But mainly Elaine! She has successfully brought new mums together for support and also planned family days that are lovely! I really hope all of the people she has made smile give a little something back to help her keep this place open I can see how much it means to her!

My daughter attends this centre with her childminder and has come on leaps and bounds socially and developmentally. It provides a place where childcarers can meet with eachother and share good practice and children can meet other children whose parents have to work. It must stay open!
