Medirest Staff Barnet Hospital entitled for the Nhs Agenda for Change and pay increase
We undersigned, Medirest Staff Barnet Hospital, and after conversation with our union rep Faycel Derbeli, we request for Implement the agreement and review employment contracts to ensure they are consistent with the NHS's agenda for change and represented in the current list below:
Statutory Sickness Pay ( SSP):
- up to 1 year: 1 month full pay and 1 month half pay
- 1 - 2 years : 2 months full pay and 2 months half pay
- 2 - 3 years: 4 months full pay and 4 months half pay
- 3 - 5 years: 5 months full pay and 5 months half pay
- 5 years plus : 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay
Annual leave based on Length of Service
- from 1 - 5 years length of service 28 days annual leave
- from 5 - 10 years length of service 29 days
- from 10 years plus 33 days
The Annual Leave must permanent and not use it only one time
Pay rate and High Cost of living following the Agenda for Change
- Days shift : £13.85/h
- Weekend and Night shifts : £14.21/h
- Medirest had agreement with the Trusts offer to improve terms and conditions of employment and has agreed a phased implemnentation of Agenda for Change that will begin in April 2010, with full Agenda for Change conditions being in place by April 2012.
The Agenda for Change (AfC) is the national pay system for most NHS staff. Medirest, as a contractor providing services to the NHS, has committed to matching NHS Agenda for Change pay rates, Statutory Sickness Pay and Annual Leave Entitlement Based on Length of Service for its frontline employees.
