I’m signing because my family lives in this village. I’ve been going there every year since 1989. This project will completely ruin the beautiful rural ancient forest of Carbisdale. The existing power lines already blot the landscape. SSEN can work on a better route and they can pay to protect this community by finding another way across.

The proposed plans will be detrimental to the environment, harmful to wildlife and historically beautiful sites and not for the good of the Scottish.

I will always support nature against industrialisation and corporate greed.

I am a committed long distance walker and have seen too many of these ugly iron monstrosities blight the Scottish landscape.

SSEN have not had the decency to consult this community about their 'preferred route'. These are bully tactics as they are aware that communities are going to object. I grew up in the area and lived in a house on the A836 we often went to the Invershin Hotel and as a young child I loved the look of the countryside around this area; especially Carbisdale Castle. SSEN have not considered the effect these pylons are going to have on the wildlife in the area, the health of the people in the community and having these pylons on the landscape destroys any chance of historic filming in a beautiful setting. SSEN are profiting; the rest of the country are benefiting from possibly having cheaper fuel and the people and wildlife of the Scottish Highlands are suffering as a result. This will affect the health of people and wildlife and will certainly have a negative effect on tourism. My message to SSEN is Put your cables under the ground and do the right and decent thing.

The Highlands are not an empty wasteland to be despoiled for the sake of a balance sheet. No benefit will be derived by the people who have to live in the shadow of this monstrosity.

These pylons will blight the hillside of the Highlands and are 1 step to far...
Get your cables underground n leave the airspace to the birds......n let them enjoy their freedom in the Highland skies...

I'm signing because this will the new route would destroy ancient woodland with newly intoduced red squirrels. It will also destroy the settlement of Carbisdale castle. I really don't think that this route have been thought out very well. You can't just plough up anywhere with out checking out the biodiversity and accident remains that on that land first.

It’s going to ruin landscapes even more x

I believe the proposed overhead power line will be detrimental to both the environment and communities. It should run underground as it would in continental Europe.

This is not necessary and I not ecologically viable
