I will not wear a mask and if you try to make me you are violating my human rights. Masks don't work anyway (the people dying on the streets of China were all wearing masks!). Masks inhibit breathing, stop us efficiently expelling harmful bacteria and viruses thus making us more likely to get ill. They prevent deaf people from being able to communicate properly. They make us more likely to touch our faces and increase the risk of pathogens entering via the skin, nose, mouth and eyes. If you're afraid of Covid then you can stay indoors, but you do not tell me what to wear just because some people who were either elderly, or ill or fat have died off a little sooner than they would have anyway. My body my rules!

Kate Nightingale (Leicester, 2020-08-26)

I think the assembly has made the wearing of masks to make it look like they’re doing something to deal with this “pandemic”

Philip Kennedy (Lisburn, 2020-08-26)

#1219

It’s unlawful to make face covering mandatory.

Rachel Bultman (Geelong , 2020-08-27)

Wearing a face mask should be our own choice

This plandemic is a farce and an abuse of human rights. It is a danger to public health by lowering immunity prior to winter months

Emma Osman (Newtownards , 2020-08-28)

#1226

The enforced imposition of masks is a violation of my human rights as stated in UNHRC document. These methods are draconian and not proven to prevent c19.

Martin Forsythe (Banbridge, 2020-08-28)

#1236

I am signing this because I do not believe the wearing of face masks should be a mandatory requirement. I think each and everyone one of us should freely be allowed to decide if we wish to wear a mask or any other face covering

Máire NicRuairí (Omagh, 2020-08-30)

I wot be donning a muzzle.

#1241

I demand my human rights be respected
I do not want to wear a mask and do not believe it is beneficial to anyone
Research has proved that wearing a mask is actually detrimental to ones health

Amanda Coates (Belfast, 2020-08-31)

#1243

I will not be forced to wear a face mask! I will not use the services of any place treating me like a sick person when I am not sick! The general sheep public are walking everybody into a very bad place!

John Herbert (Canvey Island, 2020-08-31)

#1248

I'm signing because i am exempt from wearing a face mask but the dirty looks i get is not nice. It is rediculous that this has not been addressed by the government. It also feels like some of our rights are being trampled on.

ricky lane (peterborough, 2020-09-01)

I do not want my human rights violated by wearing a mask

Patricia Mulholland (Ballycastle, 2020-09-02)

I am signing because face masks should not be mandatory. The enforcement of wearing them is an infringement of Human rights.

Jonathan Mc Loughlin (Down, 2020-09-03)

#1253

I’m signing because this should be a choice not an enforcement. I believe it goes against our human rights to live freely to force people to wear masks!

Karen Smith (Leeds, 2020-09-11)

#1269

Covid 19 is the biggest scam ever to humanity and an excuse to control the human race and diminish human rights and dumb down the global population through fear in order to bring about subservience and acquiescence to the illusion of power.

#1278

It doesn't protect anyone

Ciara Cooke (Belfast, 2020-09-14)

#1288

I don’t agree with the wearing of face masks, when there are conflicting views on the science behind it

Grainne Courtney (Armagh , 2020-09-16)

#1290

I am a caring human being who always ensures good hygiene and the safety of others. For years, when I’ll, I have reduced contact with others in order to reduce the risks to their own health including flu. The restrictions currently imposed are an infringement of liberty and the risk of COVID-19 does not warrant them.

Peter Ritchie (Dundonald, 2020-09-17)

#1291

There is zero credible proof that masks work, even after mandatory mask wearing was introduced, cases continue to rise. Cases are rising because testing is being falsified as the test is not fit for purpose

jody Nesbitt (newtownards, 2020-09-19)

#1293

Im signing because i am a frequent public transport traveller and find face masks to be very unhealthy (its difficult to breath and especially on longer journeys i feel like inhaling my own carbon dioxide which leads to severe headaches). This is definitely not a good sign for something that has no scientific proof that helps society, yet it is mandatory. Above 65 should definitely be exempt! I have seen way too many older people who were barely breathing with those masks on!

Adrianna Fedorowicz (London, 2020-09-19)

#1295

This is a coalition of our human rights. As individuals we should be given the choice to wear one or not!!!!

Rebecca Chapman (Birmingham, 2020-09-20)

#1299

I believe every one has a choice. I dislike that the Government is encouraging people that wish to wear a mask into shaming people who do not wish to wear a mask. It is immoral and against the values and standards that this country once fought to up hold against certain regimes in the past. Everyone has a choice, let them decide. We are a democracy not a dictatorship.

Harvey rowland (Cullompton, 2020-09-21)

#1300

This is not about safety it is about control

Frit Pitman (Dt95bp , 2020-09-21)

#1307

I do not believe this should be mandatory to wear a covering over our face. I have asthma and I feel like I can’t breathe when I wear a mask. I also wish people wouldn’t judge others for not wearing a mask. I don’t believe I am causing anyone harm by not wearing a mask. I’ve never worn one for any other illness for example the flu, why would I wear one now?

Saoirse Williams (Cork, 2020-09-22)

#1309

Masks are inhumane we should not be ordered to restrict our ability to breath

Andrew Fraser (Swansea, 2020-09-23)

I am exempt from wearing a mask but this doesn’t matter to these new “enforcers” in hospitals, shops and public transport, this last week I have been questioned, ridiculed and accused of lying for telling these “enforcers” that I cannot wear a face mask. I even got told by a doctor that cannot have a chest X-ray unless I wear a face mask even though they had already put on my notes I’m exempt. One nurse said “I’ve had so many people like you come in here trying to not wear a mask the past couple of weeks!”. This woman literally ashamed me in front of the waiting room then I was told I have to wait outside in the cold for medical help because I still refused to wear one. I was in the hospital for severe chest pains which makes this 100x worse, I have a history of heart related problems in my family and my own father died at 42 from a heart attack but that didn’t stop them causing me distress and embarrassment. I feel oppressed for not complying with these new rules even though I am medically exempt and this is a removal of my human rights. I choose not to wear one and I should not be treated any differently for not doing so.

Mister Adams (Swansea, 2020-09-26)

#1335

Should not be forced to wear one when there are many other rules that don’t make logical sense & the government have been inflating death figures to make the virus look more lethal

Aaron Bowke (Coventry, 2020-09-28)

#1344

Wearing a mask is completely useless against the spread of COVID-19

Carol Lambe (Belfast, 2020-09-30)

Paula barnes Barnes (Northamptonshire , 2020-09-30)

#1347

Let shop staff choose to wear a mask or not and I think the shield is better than the mask as the mask dont protect you the shield does

C G (Bedfordshire , 2020-09-30)

#1349

It’s downright disgusting to enforce the wearing of masks. People can’t breathe, can’t communicate. It’s horrific!

I think it’s disgusting the way we are treated regarding those MASKS

Mark Mckevitt (Liverpool, 2020-10-07)

#1367

I refuse to acquiesce my power, body, life and human rights to a small bunch of rich psychopaths who demand total subjugation; to control the population by controlling what we hear and see, therefore what we think and do.

Jamie Brannigan (Belfast, 2020-10-07)

#1368

Masks are causing throat and eye issues, headaches, dehumanizing society and causing depression. Give people the choice to use these as and when the situation needs.

MERRICK LAWSON (Bicester, 2020-10-07)

#1369

I feel like i am being portrayed as a monster for not wearing a mask in shops when the staff do not wear masks even tho i am keeping my distance and cleansing my hands before entering shops. I feel vilified and felt to feel like a criminal.

Ross Wilson (Southampto , 2020-10-07)

#1372

I'm sick of control, divide and conquer technics used by the system,
It's nothing to do with saving lives, more people are waking up to this fact, Agents of this matrix try their hardest to carry on installing fear based tactics, but will not work forever, the shift will take place and anyone who stands in nature's way will be wiped from existence.

Shane Wallace (Stafford, 2020-10-08)

#1375

My human rights are being violated and fear mongering is destroying society

SEAN HUGHES (Kilkeel, 2020-10-08)

#1376

Mandating masks on healthy people is unnecessary and a violation of my freedoms. That this is enforced with fines is as disproportionate as the overall response to this virus.

Simon Beadle (Hucknall, 2020-10-09)

#1377

Masks used incorrectly spread disease

Glenn Hibbert (Derby, 2020-10-09)

I will not be silenced

Pearl Banks (Burntwood, 2020-10-09)

#1380

I don't think masks help. It's giving everyone more problems wearing them and making it hard to breathe.

Tracey Macallister (Oban, 2020-10-09)

#1382

This is nothing to do with health and everything to do with control of the people by the state

Richard Grice (Norwich, 2020-10-10)

#1383

Facemasks are apublic Health hazard spreading disease! People sneeze into them , constantly touch them spreading virus Those with Exemptions get abuse. Mr Hancock , Whitty , Valence , Tory Donars and Pharmaceutical Companies are taking advantage and making a fortune out of this and it’s scandalous! We should be free to make our own choice.!

Jo Willis (London, 2020-10-10)

#1385

Not wearing a mask should be a matter of choice, our human rights are being violated every day with the dictatorship of the government. I do not wear a mask and I should have the right to make that choice.

Louise O'Reilly (Dalry, 2020-10-10)

#1388

I strongly disagree with wearing a face covering to protect me from any kind of infection, I have an perfectly working immune system for dealing with infections.

Busi Radebe (Glasgow , 2020-10-12)

#1390

Face masks are only any good for the first few minutes they are put on the minute your breath moisture wets the mask the germs stick to it rendering the mask useless so why the hell are they a must its ridiculous

Jean Brimfield (NEWPORT, 2020-10-12)

#1394

I want to stand for my human rights

Joe Fergie (Oswaldtwistle, 2020-10-13)

Human rights should never be violated, no matter what. Human rights are only violated in fascist dictatorships. We can conclude we now live in a fascist dictatorship.

Mohamed Adda (Amsterdam, 2020-10-14)

#1397

All of the scientific studies pre2019 state masks do nothing or can be harmful. They are now talking about wearing outside deprivation of fresh air!
