We demand the leadership of CHFT, GHCCG & CCCG be replaced

Lives would be lost if our hospital was knocked down. Both HRI & Calderdale struggle in the A&E departments. How can Calderdale be expected to take on the HRI patients when they can't cope now? It would be cheaper to refurbish & upgrade HRI than knock it down & build a very small hospital with only 69 beds. How can you justify this when Huddersfield is bigger than Calderdale, has far more access routes to HRI & has thousands more peopleliving here. It makes no sense.

#1005

I live in Huddersfield and we need HRI to stay because it serves so many people.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1008

Obvious reasons!!

(Huddersfield , 2017-10-21)

#1010

I care about what's happening to our hospital.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1013

We shoudnt be losing any part of our nhs

(Leeds, 2017-10-21)

#1019

Changes are needed!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1022

Because I want to see the HRI modernised to meet the needs of the community it serves.

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-21)

#1030

To save my local hospital.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1032

John Stanger.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1036

I do not have faith in leaders who would leave one of Britain's biggest towns without adequate hospital facilities or an A&E department. Scandalous!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1038

I'm signing because huddersfield is quite large and we need our hospital

(Huddersfield , 2017-10-21)

#1041

HRI is needed to serve the community of South Kirklees, we have the biggest town, with the largest population, we have a massive influx of university students and now a big increase of football supporters for home games, it is absolutely ludicrous that there would be no major Hospital to serve us

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1045

I'm born and bred in Huddersfield and don't want to lose HRI due to maladministration by hospital managers in supporting the Halifax PFI debacle!

(Holmfirth , 2017-10-21)

#1047

We need a hospital with full facilities!

(Huddersfield , 2017-10-21)

#1052

We need our a&r to stay. I am completely opposed to the plans of the ccg

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1056

The slze of population of huddersfield and surounding areas must have a hospital of proportionate size to meet its needs.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1059

This directly affects me and my family

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-21)

#1060

I was born and raised and live in Huddersfield. It's a huge town in size and population and we need our hospital with A&E. I am 67 yrs old and have been there several times in my life. It's something we cannot afford to lose.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1061

This can't be allowed to happen

(Honley Holmfirth , 2017-10-21)

#1064

I'm at an age where I have frequent visits to HRI, its on my doorstep, take it away and I'll struggle to go elsewhere, therefore effectively signing a death warrant for a lot of people.

#1072

At present I’m a Senior Neonatal Sister, I worked at HRI/SCBU for 25years until it went to Calderdale. I would not condone the fact we were risking Mothers and Babies lives down the Ellen’s Bypass!!!
I’m now at Barnsley SCBU/Outreach
Good luck, keep going julie

(Huddersfiekd, 2017-10-21)

#1074

I cannot believe their ideas are workable 64 beds for a town of our size and travelling times from Holmfirth to Halifax impossible . Ruled by finance.

(Hudersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1076

We need two hospitals an two A& E departments

(Halifax, 2017-10-21)

#1078

My son was born in the HRI and I really think, as Huddersfield is growing, they need to retain the lovely hospital they have. Not to have to travel to Calderdale or anywhere else. It will be a big inconvenience to all.

(Benoni, 2017-10-21)

#1079

It is absolutely ridiculous that we in Holmfirth have to travel for an extra 30 minutes when we have a perfectly good hospital in

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-21)

#1080

This hospital is vital for the safety of the people in the area.

(HULL, 2017-10-21)

#1081

To move hri to Halifax would mean more deaths, the routes to Halifax for people, cars ambulances is constantly gridlocked... Huddersfield needs its own hospital......

(Huddersfield , 2017-10-21)

#1084

I am against the closure of such a vital and important facility as HRI. Any one who thinks this is the right thing to do must be removed from office as they are clearly incompetent

(Huddersfield , 2017-10-21)

#1090

I want Huddersfield to have its own functions hospital rather than having to fund someone else's debt. These people do not represent the wishes of the people of Huddersfield.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1091

I feel that this is a money issue and not what is best for the community of huddersfield . We have a University. A prison the M62 not forgetting the whole population. Why not spend the money on our hospital instead of road improvements to get us to Halifax that is miles away

(Huddersfield , 2017-10-21)

#1092

It's imperative that we have a proper hospital in a town the size of huddersfield.

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-21)

#1096

It's important to me.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-21)

#1097

Halifax and Huddersfield Are big towns, to share one hospital is ridiculous, parking at Halifax is already stretched to the limit, where are people going to park when it’s double the people visiting.

(Halifax , 2017-10-21)

#1102

Putting lives at risk having to get to Halifax from here. It is disgusting that such a situation should even be considered for a University Town the size of Huddersfield to have no A & E.

(Huddersfield , 2017-10-21)

#1107

I feel his has been the wrong decision for the largest Town with massive influx of people on a regular basis

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-21)

#1123

I'm signing because it's totally unacceptable for a town the size of Huddersfield to have a hospital lacking an A and E department and all other essential services

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-21)

#1127

They have not listened to the people of Huddersfield and are putting forward decisions with which we disagree and that are dangerous for our safety.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-22)

#1128

I am Huddersfield born and bred. We always had our own Infirmary (for as long as I can remember anyway.) We also had ST. Lukes Hospital, Storthes Hall Hospital and the princess Royal Hospital. These have already gone. HANDS OFF HRI

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-22)

#1129

I'm signing because I feel the whole thing Is one way, the decision Is already made, not very diplomatic 8-((

(Chesterfield, 2017-10-22)

#1131

We need hr

(Huddersfield , 2017-10-22)

#1132

The insidious privatisation of the NHS is being pushed forward without public consent or proper accountability

(Leeds, 2017-10-22)

#1134

The NHS is nothing to do with the government. Its not theirs to sell. It belongs to the people.

(Chorley, 2017-10-22)

#1139

We need our HRI

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-22)

#1140

We need our HRI

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-22)

#1142

Huddersfield is a big place and needs an Hri with all it services intact.

(Huddersfield , 2017-10-22)

#1150

I have been an inpatient at HRI in the past and it is a valued benefit to the local community

(Chester, 2017-10-22)

#1155

Listen to the people instead of thinking about your annual bonus!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-22)

#1158

I am signing because we need to keep the hospital in Huddersfield

(Huddersfield , 2017-10-22)

#1161

Huddersfield needs a accident and emergency. How many lives will be lost getting to halifax

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-22)

#1163

Huddersfield is my home town, my family still live there and in halifax. I don't think that any of them should be denied access to full hospital services at any time of day or nght. It is disgusting that the government is making/allowing health trusts make these types of decisions which threatens the health of the population of both towns.

(london, 2017-10-22)

#1165

Whoever thinks leaving the largest town in the country without an A&E makes sense needs to be brought to account

(HOLMFIRTH, 2017-10-22)

#1172

It is ridiculous a Town this size is being threatened with a hospital with no A and E and a cottage hospital

(Rastrick, 2017-10-23)

#1175

I'm signing because Huddersfield losing it's A&E hospital is not a response guided by clinical need. It's a response to the previous mis-management when signing up for the PFI deal to pay for the new Calderdale Royal Infirmary.

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-23)

#1177

These people are unfit to lead.

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-23)

#1179

The proposal to move a hospital twice it's size into a town half it's size is mathematically impossible! Throw in the Pennine terrain and extreme winters it is an unworkable disaster- double negative l know but we are opposing idiots ie Hunt and GHCCG who are only interested in their own material gain. My attacks on these people in various newspapers are not from any political stance - but outrage that this should be happening at all

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-23)

#1192

NATIONAL Health Service belongs to us all no matter where you live.

(LONDON, 2017-10-24)

#1193

My elderly mum lives in Thongsbridge, just outside Holmfirth. If she were to be taken seriously ill, it’s a long way to go, even to HRI, but to have to go even further would certainly be a risk to her life. It would, of course, be a risk to anyone else who would have to travel further to A&E as a result of this move.
The government are proposing spending £105 billion on replacing Trident. But what’s the point of protecting us from something that may theoretically be a threat whilst leaving us vulnerable because of the gradual closing down and privatisation of the NHS, the cuts to benefits etc.????

(Chelmsford , 2017-10-24)

#1195

Our hospital is so important to this area and if A& E closes there will be many deaths as it is a nightmare to get to Calderdsle hospital from Huddersfield due to extreme traffic conditions on that journey.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-24)

#1196

jill ma

(huddersfield, 2017-10-24)

#1197

As things stand at the moment the minimum wait at Halifax A&E is usually 4hrs. That can only get worse if the people of Huddersfield are forced to use Halifax as well.

(Elland, 2017-10-24)
