THIS PETITION IS TO FORCE FORD MOTOR COMPANY SOUTH AFRICA TO HONOUR WARRANTY AND COSTS INCURRED BY SOUTH AFRICAN MAZDA RX8 OWNERS FOR HAVING ENGINES AND RELATED PARTS REPLACED DUE TO DESIGN DEFECTS WHICH CAUSE DAMAGES TO ENGINE,CATALYTIC CONVERTER,STARTER ETC. MAZDA US ACKNOWLEDGED THIS DEFECT A FEW YEARS AGO BY DOING RECALLS FOR COMPRESSION TESTING AND WENT AS FAR AS REPLACING ENGINES ON 2004-2008 MODEL RX8 THAT DIDNT PASS THE COMPRESSION TESTS. THEY FURTHER, IN 2006, EXTENDED THE MOTOR WARRANTY TO 96 MONTHS /100K MILES ON THE ROTORY AND COMPONENTS. FORD SOUTH AFRICA DIDNT FOLLOW SUIT AND DECIDED TO IGNORE THE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS OF RX8 OWNERS IN SA
