Help stop the Longslade staff that are being made redundant

Members of staff at longslade are Now getting there redundancy notice due to the amount of students coming up from the lower schools to longslade.Longslade used to be a very large upper school with around 400 pupils in each year group. The reduction in students have been affected due to martin high school charging into a 11 to 16 site. Longslades year 10 intake was around 187 the year 10 intake for september is around 160 this is a huge 53% reduction. The redundancies will only effect associate staff and any redundancies, should they go ahead will take place in january. As a year 10 students from Longslade we both believe that all the students at longslade have created a very special bond with the staff and they have got us to where we are now. We also believe that this issue will effect our future GCSE exam next year as all students will be very upset. We are both fighting for this not to happen if you believe the same way then please sign the petition to help get are point across and hopefully change the school, school governors and the educational departments mind in doing this.
