One of the major traffic problems is Green Lane is the only access point and during cold weather a large percentage of residence can not get up and down Green Lane and need to leave their cars on Highfield road. Another 70 houses could increase this by 140 cars parked at the bottom of this winter hazardous road. 400 plus accident reported between Five lane ends and Thackley corner
It is also one of the very few Green areas left with wild life such as Bats, Foxes and many bird species living there.

There are so many brown field sites in Bradford that can be used and that would benefit Bradford as a whole - there is absolutely no need to to use green areas like this!

I live just off green lane and agree that it already has way to much traffic

We do not need any more houses in this area.

We counted 300 vehicles using Green Lane between 7.30am and 9.00am. Perhaps the Police should bring their speed cameras they could make a fortune!

Idle Moor is a lovely part of my neighbourhood, and it would be such a shame! I recently showed my boyfriend, who lives in the very green Yorkshire Dales, the area and he was astounded that this green space was in the middle of loads of houses and just 5 minutes from a council estate, he said it was beautiful! What a shame it would be if this green space was taken away from us.

The area is already too busy with cars and the roads cannot cope with the any more traffic. The local primary schools cannot cope with the number of children applying already let along extra children moving into the area.

I grew up on Idle Moor. When i lived there there was only 4 houses and it was brilliant been able to go play in the fields. Now when i walk round over the moor i do not recognise it any more, we have enough houses and they should leave this alone.

The volume of traffic currently using Green Lane is steadily increasing, especially since the nursery was built, it is an accident waiting to happen. The schools in the area are already oversubscribed and there are already numerous houses for sale, we simply do NOT need any more houses building in this area.

These fields are lovely to walk around and too much traffic as it is everyone sign against these houses or we will have no land left and only have a building site left

Stop the over building. Surely Idle residents have rights too?

Already far too much traffic on Green Lane and that was 10 years ago when I lived up there. In bad weather cars park dangerously on Highfield Road as cant get up there. Local schools slready oversubscribed. This is a precious green land area which has already been drastically reduced and needs to be retained. Another local development of 600 houses is being built, why does tjis area need to be hsed too??? Idle is a village, not a city/town.

Developers choosing greenfield sites over brownfield sites, providing bigger better houses for bigger better profits?

I am a diabetic mother of two boys who works full time. I walk my dog twice a day on this moor and it is heaven. I need to exercise everyday for my health and I need the piece and quiet for my sanity! Do not destroy the heart of Idle

I posted as guest 21 above. I want to now add that Idle & Thackley need no extra traffic. My son was knocked over yesterday outside Blakehill School (which has no crossing patrol since Jim retired last year) fortunately he was not seriously hurt but roads and crossing patrols need looking at before thinking of bringing ANY more traffic into the area

A prominent estate agent told me the other week `why do we need to build more houses in this area? there are plenty for sale already`.

Unfortunately it looks like the developers have once again won, probably a back hander to the council...

Do not allow them to build!!!!!
