Closure of the foreign loan rule in football.

As we draw closer to the end of the season and play offs becoming more than a distinct possibility for Nottingham Forest, my mind has wondered more towards the way Watford have got to where they are now.  I understand there is a loophole allowing teams loaning in players from abroad and are allowed as many as they want, but I just feel this is bad etiquette both from the club itself and from the Football League.

We are meant to have a direct competition over the course of the season and it is my understanding that we are allowed up to 8 players on loan, with 5 being in the match squad.

Having had a look through their team it hit me just how many players they have on loan.  Not only do they have the vast majority of the playing squad on loan from abroad, but they also have several key players on loan from clubs from this country as well.  I might be wrong but in the whole squad there only seems to be 5-6 players who are on actual contracts?  Surely this can't be right, and doesn't make for good competition?

Their owners alone have vast amounts of money, and I think its plausibile to ask why they havent invested into the squad as opposed to making a mockery of the loan system and cheating their way to their position they are in (I appreciate some may disagree with what Im saying with it not being technically illegal) but I feel that as a paying supporter of my club along with the other 100,000's other fans supporting the other 22 teams in this league that we are not getting a fair deal.  This could be the case for any club in any division if this rule persists.

It's something I've contemplated for a while, and now I feel it is time for action to be taken.  I am writing to the FA voicing my concerns and I am aware that they will be discussing this issue, however I feel if fans got behind this movement we can make sure it is stamped out.  I am also starting this petition for this law to be banned so that fans of any team are not cheated, and that football clubs cannot make a mockery of the loan system and create plastic success.  This isnt a vendetta against Watford, more against the law itself.  This is for the rule to be adapted and for foreign players to be included in the 8 allowed in a season, not an entire ban on foreign loans.
