Where is the Play?

Nottinghamshire  County Council is proposing to eliminate play from their agenda in full, a decision which will be heavily detriment the community of Nottinghamshire. Play is a fun medium for a child’s growth and development, through play we
can experience new things, build new social bonds and learn valuable life  skills. If the proposed cuts go ahead, all of this will be eradicated, and a  generation of children will grow up without play. The impact on society will  be huge, and the impact on the health of our children and on our communities  will be one we will look back upon with regret.

We concerned citizens who urge our councillors to act now and to  reject the proposal to de-commission the “open access play provision  contract”. We believe that children’s play is vital to the development of our  children and so request that county council continue to fund play across  Nottinghamshire to the current level.
