We welcome H.H. Dalai Lama to Norway and to the Norwegian Parliament

H.H Dalai Lama is visiting Norway from 7 - 10th of may 2014. Some of Norway's most prominent top leaders are about to give in to pressure from China, and will not meet H.H Dalai Lama due to the economical risk that this may cause to our state. The presidency has also denied those of the Parliaments memebers who has accepted the invitation to meet H.H Dalai Lama, access to the "Lagtingssalen" where guests are normally recieved, and they have also denied that H.H Dalai Lama can use the main entrance. Instead he has to use the side door.

It is time to remind our leaders that it was China who occupied and massacred the Tibetian people, not the opposite.

China is a state that constantly and daily are guilty in violation of human rights principles. After the Nobel Peace prize was given to the Chinese human rights activist Liu Xiaobo, China has put quite hard pressure on Norway to stop any "support" to (read contact with) anyone who critize the Chinese regime.

Some of our political leaders has accepted the invitation, but the  most important, our prime minister Erna Solberg, has not replied yet.

This is our request:

  • We ask Parliament's presidency and government members with Prime Minister Solberg, to act and speak democracy and human rights, not sell them to the highest bidder - here China.

  • We ask our elected officials and the Parliamentary Presidency to accept the invitation to meet HH Dalai Lama

  • H.H. Dalai Lama should of course also be invited in to the inner heart of the parliament, the "Lagtingssalen", where guests are normally recieved, and by the main entrance!

  • We hope that our Prime Minister Erna Solberg  stand by her words from 2011, where she clearly held the Human Right principles beyond economical income. All you have to do, Erna Solberg, is to simply accept an invitation  to meet  HH Dala Lama when he comes to Oslo.

This is a frustrated, private initiative and political independent petition, not an organisation or other. It is for anyone to join. Sorry for bad english.
