We the students at Leaders of Tomorrow are interested in having an art elective added to the school program in Fall 2022.

 We the students of Leaders of Tomorrow are united in requesting an Art Program for the Fall 2022-2023 school year. Including an Art Program elective will allow students the opportunity to express themselves in a non violent way. Students will be able to build their artistic skills as well as communicate their feelings in a health way.

 According to Riley, Shirley. " Art Therapy with Adolescents." Western Journal of Medicine, July 2001, art helps raise self esteem, improve social behavior, helps relieve stress, alleviate trauma, and remedy social problems. According to the students at Leaders of Tomorrow art helps to build relationships, helps with self identity, art helps to relax your brain from rigorous academic work, and art helps to share a message about who you are.

 Incorporating an art elective will help decrease behavior incidents in class and in the school. A possible solution is to give students the opportnuity to select art as an elective  so that if they choose it they want it and as a result will thrive from having this program.

 In conclusion by providing this program students will excel emotionally and mentally. They will be able to express themselves and communiate in a positive and constructive manner.
