urine tests on gp visits
I am trying to make it compulsory that a urine test as a standard procedure of practice, my son Alfie was seen by four gps in a week and was misdiagnosed, they said he had a allergy or a conjunctivitis infection and that medication was given, little did we know that in fact he had a rare form kidney disease called nephrotic syndrome and was put on steroids treatment immediately, obviously this changed out life over the next week he went from 10.95kg to 16.00kg and treatment was hard, he is for now in remission and we are praying relapse is far away, he had signs of the syndrome at leat two weeks prior, by a simple urine test to check protein levels ,this is easy to diagnose. For children and adults it should be checked with allergylike symptoms e.g. Puffy eyes, legs, arms, stomach also sickness. I have since spoke to over 200 people around the world with nephrotic syndrome which 95% were misdiagnosed as allergy's, surely its better to be safe than sorry please sign the petition fir urine tests are offered. Thank you for ur time xx
