STOP THE ACCORDION BUSKER OUTSIDE CUTTY SARK

Have you ever walked through the Crescent in Central Greenwich, outside Cutty Sark Station? If so you may have heard an accordion busker, under the arch playing well known tunes. You may have even given him money. However spare a thought for residents and workers. This man plays 5-6 hours a day. He only knows 4 songs, which he repeats over and over again. I have listened to this man for a year, day in, day out. He is driving me out of my mind, and if you work or live within earshot, my guess is that you think the same. He stays longer than is allowed (1 hour max) and he frequently uses amplification which is also not allowed.

Greenwich Council have no powers as the Crescent is privately owned. That's why he sits there. If he sat on the public pavement, the wardens would move him on. I have called the Greenwich Council Noise Team countless times, and they have been out and asked him to stop. I have written to the owners of the Crescent, but they haven't answered. Please help me in this e-petition to get critical mass behind moving him on. It will be presented to Greenwich Council and the Crescent owners.

If you are wondering, the 4 songs are:

- My Way

- Autumn Leaves

- The Birdie Song

- Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps

Yes, 4 song, on repeat, all day every day, played badly, on the accordion. Try it. For a year. Yes, you too would start a petition
