Urge Mind to Keep East Dulwich Shop Open
We have recently been informed that our cherished Mind shop in East Dulwich is set to close after 30 years of invaluable community service. This shop has been more than just a store; it has been a cornerstone for mental health support in our area.
Beyond generating funds through generous donations, the shop serves as a critical sanctuary for those affected by mental health challenges. It is unique on our street for providing opportunities to Duke of Edinburgh students, offering them a space to learn and grow. Our shop is also a refuge where customers can find solace and support for their own wellbeing.
Mind is a nationally recognized charity dedicated to mental health advocacy, understanding that mental health affects us all. Despite this mission, the decision has been made to close our shop without considering any alternatives for its survival.
This issue extends beyond mere financial concerns. We urge local residents to rally together to save this vital community resource. The closure not only affects the services provided but also removes a crucial lifeline for many in East Dulwich.
We ask for your support in contacting Mind's head office to reconsider this decision. Let us preserve this essential space for the benefit of our community and ensure that Mind's presence continues to thrive in East Dulwich.
