GP provision in West Speke

Elderly people need local access to a GP this only puts extra pressure on other already struggling services !!

Angela Zuraw (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#4

A surgery is needed in west Speke for our less able within the community. Wether that be disability, families or cost. There is already pressure upon the NHS and getting apts was already hard, without the added pressure on the already exsisting surgeries. Margaret Thompson medical centre is a hard NO for anybody who isn’t physically abled. It is off the track of the bus route.

Janine Rasmussen (Liverpool, 2023-02-01)

I am a registered with West Speke Health Centre and so is my daughter. We need our GP practice. There are the best people working there and we are well looked after.

Amanda Welsh (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#6

Because we need this gp surgery for people off speke who are disabled also the old people off speke who can not travel far for a doctor or nurse

Lucinda Davies (Speke, 2023-02-01)

#7

I strongly disagree with the closure of west speke H/C there should be a H/C built on the site of west speke H/C so the patients would have proper health care and the staff have a safe work place not a porocabin and patients wont have to travel out of there area to access health care or to see a gp nurse we need to be seen and understood that are health is important in the west speke health centre area

catherine murphy (LIVERPOOL , 2023-02-01)

#9

Speke is always the bottom of the heap for anything.

Su Buckley (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#11

This will be so devastating and put pressure on other surgery's 2000+ patients to find other surgery's..... No way!

Janet Williams (Liverpool, 2023-02-01)

#12

West speke needs a docters for the people who cant travel far

Michelle Guy (Liverpool, 2023-02-01)

#13

Although I live in west speke I don’t use this doctors, it’s hard enough getting an appointment with my GP , so to put more people on their books would be even harder to get an appointment, plus west speke need a surgery for the the likes of pensioners who can’t travel far

Paula Malone (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#14

Francis michael jones (Liverpool, 2023-02-01)

#15

I am signing this as it has been my doctors for over 18 years, and all my son's and daughter's are under this doctors and I don't want to move to someone that does not know me or my family as 2 of them have mental health issues.

Cher Thwaites (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#16

#18

We need a Dr's in West Speke we have had a lot on new houses built plus Bungalows for the elderly and disabledwe need a practice in West Speke

Pauline Mckeown (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#19

The doctors surgery needs to be local for the people in this part of Speke, as otherwise the nearest one is a bus ride away. Not convenient for people with young children or the elderly to get to.

Cathy Kinsey (Liverpool, 2023-02-01)

#20

I should

JEFFREY HUNTER (Liverpool, 2023-02-01)

#21

People of speke need gp provision

Kirsty Swift (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#23

The remaining surgery's in Speke are over subscribed, 2200 patients have to be spread over 3 surgeries!

Lisa Patten (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#24

This is my gp practice, I know the staff here, they know me and are very helpful. To move to a new practice would be horrendous has we won't get to meet the new gp, get an appointment or review our medication etc. Leave the doctors where it is, its a life line for the elderly and patients who have been with the surgery since day one.

Lois Shore (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#27

it will put a terrible strain on the healthcare of speke.

Debbie Jones (liverpool, 2023-02-01)

#28

I am a patient at this health centre and do not want to be moved. It is a necessity to the good people of West Speke who will find it difficult to get to other provision elsewhere. There are already known issues with the provision by other surgeries in Speke and simply closing West Speke and moving the patients to these is going to have an even more of a detrimental impact to the health and wellbeing of residents. If anything, you should be building a permanent West Speke Health Centre and providing additional health and wellbeing provision, not reducing it.

Donna Neal (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#30

It’s the right thing to do

Ann Devereux (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#32

West Speke deserves a GP surgery and this is a vital provision for local people.

Gareth Morgan (Liverpool, 2023-02-01)

#33

The surgery is literally across the road from me and the receptionists are the best you could get nothing is too much bother for them

Sheila Smith (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#35

I think it's a valuable asset for our community

GEOFFREY D'ARCY (Liverpool, 2023-02-01)

#37

This is an essential service to many people in the area and must stay

Alan Flute (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#57

I am signing because i believe that this health centre is a vital hub for many patients in the community and especially for elderly and vulnerable people who won’t be able to access health services further away for a number of reasons location being one

Hayley Hemnell (Liverpool, 2023-02-01)

#65

My wife and 5 kids use these doctors and have done for many years

Brian Parkinson (Liverpool, 2023-02-01)

#67

As speke resident and the influx of people that have moved to Speke recently I have noticed new patients being registered in my surgery recently which in turn has led to difficulties getting an appointment with my GP. If the surgery in West Speke closes this will result in increased difficulties getting an appointment.

Jacqueline Hird (Liverpool , 2023-02-01)

#69

There are not enough GPS in Speke before this practice closes how on earth are the remaining surgeries expected to absorb over 2,000 more patients!!!

Krystal Miller (Liverpool, 2023-02-02)

#81

I'm registered with another practice not far from the West Speke practice and many of the 2239 displaced patients will be taken on at my practice which will make it even harder to get an appointment in a timely manner.

Roberr Hibbert (Liverpool, 2023-02-02)

#86

I Believe the residents of west Speke should be entitled to these facilities being within a close distance from where they live.

John Tobin (Liverpool, 2023-02-02)

#87

We need this doctors surgery at that end of speke

Hazel Hickson (Liverpool , 2023-02-02)

#88

I am from Speke and need to know I’m close to help for any issues

Ethab Robinson (Liverpool, 2023-02-02)

#89

I’m a Speke resident and although West Speke is not my GP practice, I don’t agree with its closure. I have friends and family who depend on this service for its close proximity and they’ve built trust with their GPs over the years. For me personally, it’s difficult enough as it is already to arrange an appointment at my own GP practice, so for more patients to be taken on it will be impossible, and will be the same for the other practice in the area. Our community has grown with the influx of new housing, and is continuing to do so. It just doesn’t make sense to close West Speke down.

Cheryl Gordon (Liverpool, 2023-02-02)

#90

Although it's not my Doctor's, it is still vital to the people who do go there.

June Hazeldine (Liverpool, 2023-02-02)

#97

I am a patient at this practice. We cannot afford to lose a gp on an estate as big as Speke.

Julie Jones (Liverpool, 2023-02-03)

#98

It’s been their all my life, it’s been my doctors for years and even moving area and coming back I still went straight back to that doctors! It’s one of the best around Speke

Amy Towers (Liverpool , 2023-02-03)

#99

There have been hundreds if not thousands of new homes built near this surgery, on the old playing fields next to Speke Hall Avenue, and the old Dunlop site n Hale Road, all within walking distance of this surgery. Surely it should be made bigger, not closed. Where are all those new residents supposed to find a GP now? Ridiculous decision.

Lynne Moneypenny (Liverpool, 2023-02-03)

#101

I work in Greencross pharmacy in the same building, it not fair on many patients who can’t get to other surgery’s .

Julie Mcloughlin (Liverpool, 2023-02-04)

#113

I believe that patients with low incomes need a health centre within walking distance of their home.

Muriel Sumner (Liverpool, 2023-02-05)

#114

It is absolutely vital that West Speke has good access to primary care facilities. This is not a wealthy area and people deserve a proper service.

Bob Collins (Liverpool, 2023-02-06)

#116

People in areas quite well provided with GP surgerieis are already struggling to make appointments, closing this surgery will only make matters worse for both the people who use the W.Speke surgery and those in nearby areas. Speke is not a well off area and people may also have problems in getting to a surgery that is further away.

Vivienne Tyler (Liverpool, 2023-02-06)

#117

We need this service

Gemma Robinson (Liverpool , 2023-02-06)

Karl Brodrick (Liverpool, 2023-02-08)

#123

People need a surgery, they need to see a GP if the fall Ill.
By closing this surgery your placing local people and children at risk. Local surgeries are vital especially for the elderly and people who rely on public transport.

#130

I am signing because, I feel the people of West Speke deserves a fair share of the National cake.
Again to avoid pressure on the sister NHS centres and to save innocent lives.

Ernest Anyan-Denkyi (Liverpool , 2023-02-17)

#131
