It would be a great shame for these well established gardens to close. An education for all other gardeners.

Beautiful gardens shouldn't be spoiled.

Big fan of Geoff hamilton.not a fan of dumping solar farms anywhere they fancy with no thoughts as to suitability

Renewable energy is important but in the right location. Near to Barnsdale Gardens is surely not the right place. Fond memories of meeting Geoff there many years ago. Can only guess what he would make of all this. Good luck Nick. We are all with you and your family.

It will spoil a wonderful attraction to Rutland.
Barnsdale is an historical gardening site which offers education about plants, soil and wildlife.
As well as being a peaceful place to visit and to just enjoy the surroundings.

Barnsdale Gardens are the legacy of one of the most important horticulturalists the UK has known - Geoff Hamilton. This oasis of inspiration, biodiversity, nature and peace must not be destroyed!

The gardens provide extensive plant varieties for vistors to see. Like many others who visit I am disabled and the gardens are easily accrssible to all.

I am a big fan of the gardens and their founder. A beautiful space for gardeners.

There are better places to put these panels, does not make sense to destroy this family business and it's legacy. Find a suitable site where noone is overly affected.

Whilst I am in favour of renewable energy, I do not feel this is an appropriate location for this development and would like to see Barnsdale gardens continue to be an inspiration for gardeners for many years to come.

This proposal is environmental vandalism. Agricultural land should be used for agriculture. This is completely the wrong place for solar panels.

I am signing because I agree with Nick that whilst solar energy is a vital resource, any new farms should be built so as not to cause damage to already established environments that encourage wildlife and support the wellbeing of visitors to Barnsdale.
