Nicola Jones (Birmingham, 2022-06-08)

My aunties grave that we go to see, my own mother passed away and I can’t imagine the pain if I had to go through this myself I think it’s DISGUSTING!!

Upsetting for the families

Lucy Kendall (Birmingham , 2022-06-08)

#225

My niece died very young and is buried their and her 2 young daughters have religiously maintained her plot for the last ten years. Grassing over her plot would be unthinkable for them

Chris Rogers (Birmingham , 2022-06-08)

#226

I'm signing this petition because my beautiful friends mom rests here and I know it means the world to her having a comforting environment when she visits. Breaks my heart for her thinking things may change. Please reconsider

Gabrielle Kennedy (Solihull, 2022-06-08)

#229

Our daughters grave is sacred to our family, it shouldn't be turned into a public lawn for the convenience of some members of Yardley Wood Church.

Gary Moran (Birmingham, 2022-06-08)

#237

Losing someone you care about is such a personal thing. Graves should absolutely be personal to the person inside. People pay for their graves, their loved ones should have a right to decorate it as they would like.

Kirsty Ferrara (Solihull, 2022-06-08)

#239

I'm signing because a loved one is buried here and it wouldnt be the same without the families lovely efforts to keep the grave side a pleasure to visit

Leanne Rogers (Birmingham , 2022-06-08)

#247

My friend’s Mum’s grave is there and it’s a special place for her to go and pay respects to her Mum, and take her kids to.

Amy Alderson (Manchester, 2022-06-08)

#252

My Grandmother's grave is here, it means a great deal to my family and I to be able to visit and remember her whilst keeping it looking lovely in way that honors our Nan. We have spent years upkeeping the grave to make it a special place for the family to visit.

Heather Taylor (SHEPPERTON, 2022-06-08)

#253

Its so unfair to take away families personal detail for their loved ones. This makes it more comforting place to visit for families and young children and shouldnt be changed.

Sarah-jane Reilly (Ripley, 2022-06-08)

#254

I feel very strongly

Diane Taylor (Birmingham , 2022-06-08)

#258

I know what it's like to have a grave of loved one messed with

Maria Rogers (Tamworth , 2022-06-08)

#259

I think the whole situation is absolutely ridiculous and you need to think about the familys feelings and the distress you are causing them.. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING..

Julie Perks (Birmingham , 2022-06-08)

#267

This is so sad for the famlies that visit loved ones.

Julie Crathorne (Birmingham, 2022-06-08)

#270

Respect and dignity for the people who have loved ones there ❤

Kim Allcroft (Birmingham , 2022-06-08)

#280

I am supporting those who have loved ones interred in Yardley Wood Cemetry. I think it’s a violation and desecration of these resting places. If people want to mark these resting places with their own decor then that’s their right to do so. These small plots have been paid for and have been maintained by the relatives. No one said that they would be breeching any rules. Leave them alone until such time when they are no longer cared for.

Tracy Warden (Burnley, 2022-06-09)

#281

My husbands family are buried there.

Patricia Badger (Birmingham, 2022-06-09)

#282

This is a disgrace. We were all born into this world as Individuals and we leave as one. Our graves deserve to be treated with the same respect. Individual to who we are ! Not all the same. Left for our loved ones to care for and have a place to remember us as we were on this earth in peace. How very hurtful and insensitive not only to those that have passed but also to the families and friends that visit their loved ones graveside

Georgina Benson (Birmingham , 2022-06-09)

#283

I agree with Katie and her family and the other families that want to have a special place for them to go to so that they can be with their loved ones. To grass over their graves is at best inconsiderate and worst inhumane

Davis Lesley (Beaconsfield, 2022-06-09)

#285

Many people are at rest here and they want to cover it with grass, and the woman starting to remove them is supposed to be follower of god ? It’s very wrong

Lauren Williams (Birmingham , 2022-06-09)

#288

I live close, .. Leave it alone

Matt Felkin (Birmingham , 2022-06-09)

#290

I agree with this petition. it is hard enough that we cannot hug our mommas, why not let us leave them little special gifts in their resting place!!

Rosemary Arreola (Del Rio, 2022-06-09)

#293

It should be criminal to not be able to take care of your family's resting place. It is sacred and will cause great emotional harm to the families.

Patricia Winters (Winter Springs, 2022-06-09)

#294

I'm signing because I've had problems at the cemetery my Mother and family are buried. I went into their office and went off on the employees for taking my things gifts to my family and throwing them away.

Angela Gideo (New Brighton, 2022-06-09)

#326

My partners mom and a few family members are buried at Christmas church and I believe it should be left as it is, as they take care of there loved ones graves

John Davies (Birmingham , 2022-06-10)

#327

It's disgraceful to interfere with someone's chosen final resting place. Or how the families left behind honour their memories. Chorat Church obviously lost their copy of the bible

#331

All my family are buried in the church yard

Angela Morgan (Birmingham , 2022-06-10)

#333

I am signing because I share the thoughts and sympathy as this is awful to read that they have been allowed all these years and for whatever reason you are trying to change back to the times of 2006, these people have lost their loved ones and just want to try and make their resting place beautiful for all to see.

Mary Perks (BIRMINGHAM, 2022-06-10)

#336

I am signing this because most of my family are at rest there and the thought of you being allowed to grass over there graves where people can just walk all over them is disgusting
u should be ashamed of yourselves for even considering it.
actually if it wasn't for the relatives of there loved ones being there and keeping there graves neat and tidy which is more than the church does the place would b a right mess

audra butler (birmingham, 2022-06-10)

#337

This is so distressing for all the families concerned. I can’t believe that this is even being contemplated. Please think again and leave the loved ones’ final resting places as they are.

Susan Wakefield (Birmingham, 2022-06-11)

#338

My mum is buried there and I don't want all and sundry walking over here. My family work hard to keep her grave looking lovely all year round

Samantha Coughlan (Secret Harbour, 2022-06-11)

#341

The reason l am signing and writing… ls simple. To sit and talk to the people we miss so much. It brings for a short time, a peace. Doing something for them…….

Pattie Barlow (Staffordshire, 2022-06-11)

#342

Let sleeping places remain beautiful n teanquill

Katie Moss (Birming ham, 2022-06-11)

#345

you should leave a parent to decide what or what's not put on or around a baby's grave they've lost enough without the added heartache of a cemetery deciding this they've no doubt paid thousands for that small plot of land its theirs not the cemeteries allow parents of babies that have passed some leniency this is their way of coping decorating their babies forever beds

Kelly Waldron (Birmingham, 2022-06-11)

#347

I dont agree any graves should be grassed over if the families do not wish.
It's completely wrong

Claire Stanley (Birmingham , 2022-06-11)

#349

This is totally unacceptable for people who are already living without their loved ones. They do not want their memories trampled on... Literally!!! 💔

Jan Lane (Rowley Regis, 2022-06-12)

#350

I don’t agree with this decision

Susan Wilding (Birmingham , 2022-06-12)

#358

Its desecration of peoples resting places, places their families paid for in hood faith too.

Eve Craven (Falmouth, 2022-06-14)

#363

I think it’s disgusting that this is even happening! The price of funerals and head stones! And that’s someone’s loved one just to be covered up and forgot! Disgusting

sydnie Cook (Birmingham, 2022-06-14)

#367

There has never been a problem with these graves before some of which were there before the current reverend, these graves are paid for an cared for by loving family members which make the grave yard 1 million times better how about starting with the real problems starting at the font

Resting places should be just that, not be destroyed. Its disrespectful and hurtful to loved ones left behind and to the deceased persons memory.
