It will ruin the centre of the village, and ruin the lovely garden.

This is a unique jewel in the crown of Lincolnshire. It’s a vast county with thousands of pubs and almost none with a space to rival the Bottle & Glass in Scothern. A shelter like this is for a crap grey corner of a town centre. Not the beckside in Scothern. People have managed without a roof for 500 years. We can all live without this monstrosity. I wish the licences luck in finding a way to work with their premises instead of against it.

I believe that the pub gardens should remain as they are.

I used to manage the Bottle and Glass for a short while

It's a beautiful pub in a rural area that commonly attracts dog owners/walkers, the whole attraction of this type of pub is classic pub food with a rural setting, a hard concrete base instead of lush greenery will take away from that attraction.

Nearby villages of Welton, Sudbrooke and Nettleham are all being built up at an obscene rate and I believe it would be a benefit to keep scothern as quaint and rural feeling for as long as possible to give it and its amenities some originality within the area

It needs to be left uncovered, for the birds and for the customers. I presume it is for use by smokers. I used to be a smoker but I wouldn’t want something covering up the nice views of the beck.

The pub garden is a beautiful space that add to the amenities of the village to turn it into a covered area would negatively impact the village setting. If a covered area is really needed it should be at the back away from the garden and not as prominent

The garden is a focal point for the village

The garden is a lovely focal point in the centre of this pretty visit. A big canopy would spoil the open aspect of the area.

I live in Scothern and this plan will ruin the aesthetic of the pub and the wider village! We enjoy sitting in the beer garden in the sun during the summer months!
