No local services to support more housing

There are too many houses already being built in Clitheroe. The Health Centre and the schools are over full and the traffic is horrendous which causes more pollution in the atmosphere. The ambience of the market town of Clitheroe is being destroyed to satisfy the greed of developers and Government.

Enough is enough!!!

I live on a "Now become racetrack" are the knobs in RVBC trying to kill us all with the extra traffic.

#207

This town is getting more like a city but without the infrastructure it needs, stop being greedy R.V.B.C and listen to your residents

I was born & bred in Clitheroe & continue to spend my days in this once fantastic town. It breaks my heart to see the destruction this town is suffering @ the hands of RVBC. Too may houses being built causing destruction to the once pleasant surrounding countryside. There's insufficient infrastructure to cope with a mass of new residents. Trying to get in & out of the town at present is a nightmare but it will be even worse when the new properties are inhabited! For goodness sake RVBC open your eyes to what's happening & listen to your public the majority of whom oppose the
destruction of our historical & beautiful town- all for the sake of money!

I am disgusted with the number of houses recently built within the rubble valley on what used to be deemed green belt. The impact this has on the environment and infrastructure is unthinkable.

Sadly Clitheroe is no longer the quiet little market town it was. It is fast becoming a place to avoid due to horrendously busy roads and nightmare parking. Enough is Enough!

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-02)

#217

Clitheroe and surrounding areas cannot cope with more houses being built.

(Clithero , 2018-09-02)

#225

Horrendous with traffic now and will spoil the beautiful area we live in

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-02)

#226

Too much traffic as it is, also building on greenbekt land

(Clitheroe , 2018-09-02)

#233

The town roads can't cope with the traffic and the lack of sufficient services, schools, and parking places

(Clitheroe , 2018-09-02)

#234

Current infrastructure is already at breaking point and cannot support further developments. The new builds are in the main, not affordable for local people, evidenced by the high number of buyers from outside the Ribble Valley, including a large number taken by a neighbouring authority's Housing Association for people on their waiting list!

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-02)

#235

The local infrastructure will not cope with the additional demand. The council cannot maintain local services and in particularly roads as it is without these increased demands. As it is they seem reluctant to adopt the roads on recently completed estates but still expect the residents to pay the full council charges.I doubt very much that the local planning department will look any further than the additional income from council tax

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-02)

#238

We as a town are far too overcrowded as it is, the developers don't care that all our green fields are being taken away, neither does the council it seems!
Stop building more houses!

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-02)

#240

We have already had our fair share of houses without any more facilities being provided. Enough is enough

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-02)

#241

More houses in this area is ridiculous. We were not told more were being built on this field

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-02)

#242

Family and friends still live in Clitheroe.
It is chaos trying to get in and out of town by any route. No more schools or amenities than when I left 30 years ago.

(Mellor, 2018-09-02)

I object to the huge number of houses being proposed to being built in Clitheroe. Clitheroe should not be taking such a big percentage of the house builds in the Ribble Valley. The current infrastructure cannot cope the current amount of new houses and will break under the burden of those proposed. Residents have been assured more health provision and schools will be provided but these plans have changed each time to provide a sever lack of services.
It is frankly getting ridiculous now and Clitheroe residents need to be listened to.

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-02)

#246

Not enough places at schools, nursery etc. Traffic congestion and houses butting up to A59 will spoil the Ribble Valley which in my opinoon is an area of outstanding natural beauty.

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-02)

#247

We have far too many new houses already and the town is bursting at the seams. No extra funding for schools doctors etc is putting these services under incredible pressure. There is no thought for the people who live here anymore just pure greed

(Lancashire , 2018-09-02)

#256

We have more than enough houses already there really is no need to keep continuing to inflict these multi house builds.

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-03)

#258

Too many houses no infrastructure. We need the green spaces.

(Clitheroe, 2018-09-03)

#260

Clitheroe cannot accommodate for all of these extra houses!
