Comments

#204

This is one of my favourites when I come back to wales. Love being able to sit outside and enjoy being outside

(Milton, 2018-06-13)

#205

I want to keep Llanrwst alive
And somewhere to drink and eat

(Llanrwst , 2018-06-13)

#206

The area in question is plenty large enough to accommodate a few tables ( in the open air which must be good for you) without causing an obstruction.
I’m sure if the council were charging for the tables they would not have any objections

(Eglwysbach , 2018-06-13)

#207

I’m signing because the tables cause no disruption and bring money into a small business.

(Trefriw, 2018-06-13)

#213

Piss take other cafe has loads of tables and chairs what about mums with prams

(Conwy, 2018-06-13)

#214

Llanrwst needs these for visitors we want to encourage people to stay in the town

(Llanrwst , 2018-06-13)

#219

Outside, cafe culture is social, fun and good for tourism and the community. It should be safely encouraged.

(Trefriw , 2018-06-13)

#221

I'm from Llanrwst but live in N.Yorkshire.Whenever I visit Llanrwst nowadays my impression is that this amazing little town is dying, there is nothing to bring tourism to the town.By putting tables/chairs out on the pavements is telling all that Llanrwst is open and will give a warm welcome to all. This can only give much needed help to businesses trying to revive the town, give it a break!

(Thirsk, 2018-06-13)

#224

We need to accomodate everyone who needs a cuppa the tables and chairs are an asset as they extend the cafe making more money for the owner . We have too many closed shops And banks therefore we should encourage extra business. Tables and chairs do not seem to obstruct the pavement therefore should not be ordered to move .

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-13)

#227

This is a local business which should be promoted not restricted.
And the Llanrwst square is mostly for pedestrians now so what are Conwy CC about !!

(Beaumaris , 2018-06-13)

#233

The biggest obstruction on the Square is the Town Clock which is a waste of space and money.

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-14)

#234

This cafe brings life to Ancaster square and the tables are an integral part of that. I've been there many times and the tables are in now way a hazard to people.

(Trefriw , 2018-06-14)

#241

I enjoy visiting contensa and think it's brilliant that we can also sit outside naw.

(Conwy , 2018-06-14)

#244

It’s ridiculous council saying she has to remove them, makes the square look so much better and the tables and chairs are NOT! In anyone s way

(Llanrwst , 2018-06-14)

#248

common sense tells you it’s not a problem having table and chairs outside lets get behind Anna on this

(Llanrwst , 2018-06-14)

#251

These tables aren’t causing an obstruction and provide a nice, alternative outside space for people to sit and enjoy some food and drink.

(Trefriw, 2018-06-14)

#253

I think the town needs to give local people and tourists the option to eat and drink outside in the summer months

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-14)

#256

Im supporting a local business. I love the cafe and will enjoy sitting outside this summer.

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-14)

#258

The tables are a great addition to the square. They do not cause an obstruction. Imposing a removal order is unwarranted and quite frankly a complete waste of our money.

(Penmachno , 2018-06-15)

#262

I'm signing because I believe the tables and chairs outside caffi contessa actually enhance Ancaster square. There is no obstruction as there's plenty of space for pedestrians to pass. Many locals and tourists alike use caffi Contessa and having the extra tables and chairs outside is fantastic.

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-15)

#264

I certainly don't think the tables are intrusive! Denu pobl i Llanrwst mae nhw!

(Penmachno, 2018-06-15)

#267

There are always locals and tourists sat outside enjoying the ambience ,drinking ,eating , people watching ,relaxing ,doesnt seem to cause any problems for pedestrians

(Trefriw, 2018-06-16)

#268

Ridiculous!!Starting a business in Llanrwst is difficult.People just pass through to go to Betws y Coed!Contessa have made it a hub for Llanrwst and now trying to make our town welcoming to passing travellers and local people. We need this for our town!!Keep the tables outside.

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-16)

#269

contessa should be able to provide a seating area outside just as the other cafe on the square ,

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-16)

#278

I support Anna. There is NO instruction. Plenty of room to go around tables with push chairs and wheelchairs. The council should concentrate on bigger issues impacting Conwy area.

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-16)

#279

Contessa is a great cafe and why cant they have tables outside when others do ?

(Betws-Y-Coed, 2018-06-16)

#282

No obstruction.

(Penmachno, 2018-06-17)

#285

You can’t let one cafe have tables out and not the other! In my opinion they are not effecting anyone!

(Betws-y-coed, 2018-06-17)

#286

I don't see the problem.with outside seating?

(penmachno, 2018-06-17)

#291

Anna should be allowed to keep her tables. Other buisnesses in the town have seating or signs out. I walk passes Cafe Contessa to get to work and the table and chairs are certainly not an obstruction.

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-18)

#296

These tables are not a problem - they enhance the town by adding a facility for their customers. There's still plenty of room to get past in a wheelchair or mobility scooter.

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-18)

#301

It will improve the ambience of the area and also increase the sustainablity of local businesses

(Trefriw , 2018-06-19)

#302

It’s just good for everyone Options then you wanna sitting outside or sit in doors xx

(Llanrwst , 2018-06-19)

#303

This is unnecessarily beaureaucratic. In other countries, cafes and restaurants routinely have tables outside in public squares, and they form part of the character and charm of those villages, towns and cities. Unless they're causing an obstruction or public nuisance, there is no reason to prevent it here, too. I see no such issues with Cafe Contessa in Llanrwst.

(Llanfairfechan, 2018-06-19)

#305

I think Cafe Contessa should be allowed to have tables outside the cafe as they don't cause any obstruction to wheelchair users and it's so nice for people to be able to enjoy the weather whilst watching the world go by

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-19)

#309

Dwi'n cefnogi Anna a Caffi Contessa - does dim problem pasio heibio'r byrddau .

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-19)

#313

This is a valued local facility in the centre of town, to be enjoyed by visitors and residents alike. It obstructs nothing, and must stay.

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-20)

#315

I drive from Llandudno especially to “ sit outside and people watch “ on a lovely day ,like lots of people do,and meet up with my friends.......why oh why would anyone want to make such negative changes.....it shouldn’t be allowed for negative councils to keep our little towns etc in the dark ages......they should be happy to see locals making an honest living !!

(Llandudno , 2018-06-20)

#317

I drive to North Wales often. I use this cafe as my second en route stop-over. The council should support them not kick them.

(Cardiff, 2018-06-20)

#319

Think like an Italian, you council official !

(Llanrwst, 2018-06-20)

#323

Its lovely having chairs and tables outside in the summer, makes the town look welcoming and friendly.

(Wales, 2018-06-20)

#324

It's the 21st century

(Adelaide , 2018-06-20)

#330

This needs to happen!

(Kirkbean, 2018-06-21)

#336

There are other businesses that have items outside, plus she is a cafe, it's so nice when visiting a cafe in the summer to be able to sit outside, all cafes have some outside space.

(Llandudno, 2018-06-22)

#338

I do not believe that these tables and chairs are causing any obstruction. They are moved indoors at night. The cafe owners have the support of Menter Iaith Conwy next door and many local people.

(CONWY, 2018-06-26)

Caffi gwych, cadeiriau allan yn atyniad!
