I'm signing because why should someone give up on a family member just because it's a dog

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#403

Nobody should be refused a home because they have a dog,to most people a dog is like a child, also my be the only friend he has.

(stamford, 2017-05-08)

#404

Rocky and Martin need a home you should never separate a man and his best friend. Why is it that other people with council houses are allowed a minimum of two dog ?

Martin needs a home with his best friend

Dogs aren't just an animal they are family. My council wouldn't house me with a dog either and it's totally wrong

(Great Yarmouth , 2017-05-08)

#412

If he got his dog once he moved in the council would not evict him. Unfair to discriminate just because he has a dog.

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#416

That dog has been his constant companion throughout his life on the streets...his best friend and likely kept him going....it would be cruel and unfair to make him get rid of him. Dogs are man's best friend and if it was me I would want my best friend with me!!!

(Bourne, 2017-05-08)

#422

This man deserves to be homed with his dog.

(Peterborough, 2017-05-08)

#423

Ive been homeless

(mablethorpe, 2017-05-08)

#424

I'm sure that the people who are refusing to help this gentleman wouldn't give up their child to receive help, this is just a mealy mouthed excuse for not helping this gentleman; shame on the jobsworthy beurocrats!

(Radlett , 2017-05-08)

#426

They both deserve a home together

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#429

I think he should be helped , this dog will be his life's

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#430

He could be any of us and it's a human right! That dog is his family and to separate them would be bearing him with the same stick that probably made him homeless in the first place!
We're supposed to be smart humans, exploring

(Bristol , 2017-05-08)

#434

I know this man for long time he deserves it most of all

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#435

House the poor man and his dog, it would likely break his heart, that dogs his friend and companion, don't be so heartless

(Wrexham , 2017-05-08)

#438

I've met both Martin and his lovely dog on many occasions whilst out and about with my work. He deserves a break and to be with his one and only companion who's stuck by him through thick and thin.

(Peterborough, 2017-05-08)

#439

The council wouldn't ask him to put his child up for adoption before they gave him a flat, a dog is really no different in this case.

(Hove, 2017-05-08)

#440

I met Martin and Rocky and had a lovely chat with him
And he deserves to b homed

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#442

I love animals and would hate to be separated from my dog.

(Ashforhd, 2017-05-08)

#443

I talk to both of these on a regular occasion he looks after the dog more than him self and loves that dog..

(Spalding, 2017-05-08)

#445

I work in the local area and he comes across a good person and I can tell he loves his dog very much always calling rocky his son.

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#450

Martin is a great guy and been put in this shitty situation but for the love of his amazing dog rocky has been forced onto the streets of Peterborough. I have seen Martin go hungry for a day just to make sure that the money he had was spent on making sure rocky got his treatment at the vets after another dog bit him that is true love and no one has the right to force Martin to give up rocky!

(Peterborough, 2017-05-08)

#452

I've met Martin numerous times, he's never asked me for money and all I've spoke to him about is the this he wants most in life is to put a roof over his dogs head! His dog is also such a good boy who deserves a home.
Martin loves his dog so much I once whitnessed someone giving him a few quid and he went straight and brought his dog food.
Good man with a good dog.

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#458

He should be allowed a place with his dog the council are well wrong

(Peterborough, 2017-05-08)

#460

Everyone deserves a home

(Kings lynn, 2017-05-08)

#468

Nobody should be separated from there best friend ragless of there situation

(Peterborough, 2017-05-08)

#471

Empathy is a quality lacking in too many and no person and their most loyal friend should be homeless in 2017.

(Halifax, 2017-05-08)

#473

Animals are more loyal than most people and sometimes they are the only company we have! The country has gone mad with human rights etc but only when it suits!!!!

(Kings lynn, 2017-05-08)

#475

This man and his dog deserves to live like the rest of us. Good luck

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#479

We all need a little help sometimes.

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#483

Peterborough should be doing more to help just the the sandbox group.

(Peterborough , 2017-05-08)

#486

His dog is his family and should be together under a roof

(Peterborough, 2017-05-09)

#492

It's important we help our homeless while not taking awaybtheir support mechanism

(Peterborough, 2017-05-09)

#494

I know Martin and Rocky very well. They are very kind and genuine and never beg on the streets, they never as anyone for a single thing. Every day, kind people on the streets hand Martin either money or food and drink, blankets, sleeping bags, tents and dog food but the real beggars and people who are taking advantage of the publics kind nature, steal from Martin and beat him up for what he has been given. Martin can never make a good enough life for him and Rocky whilst he has to survive in these conditions.
Imagine sleeping in a door way or a car park, somewhere different every night and being afraid to go to sleep incase you wake up to someone beating you.
I am ashamed that I live in a world where we allow our fellow friends and citizens to exist in this way.
I love seeing Martin and Rocky every day and I pray that we can get them help. They deserve it ❤️

(Peterborough , 2017-05-09)

#495

U cannot separate them,They both deserve a home.

(Peterborough, 2017-05-09)

#496

He deserves a home just like every one else

(Peterborough , 2017-05-09)

#501

Because it's wrong to say that someone has to give up the dog just to get a home

(Peterborough , 2017-05-09)

#505

I see no reason why they can't stay together as animal shelters are full of unloved dogs this one is loved

(peterborough, 2017-05-09)

#507

Because martin needs a home.

(Peterborough , 2017-05-09)

#508

He's British & homeless and deserve a home,

(Norfolk, 2017-05-09)

#509

There are any number of council owned properties which have tenants with dogs, cats and various other animals. I really can't see what the problem is. If Rocky was a child, would Martin be expected to give him up?

(Peterborough, 2017-05-09)

#511

I think it's disgusting that this gentleman and his companion are still on the streets Peterborough council do the right thing and house them have a heart it saddens me this is happening

(Bournemouth , 2017-05-09)

#512

I think pets help with many things,, loneliness depression .....

(newtown, 2017-05-09)

#513

Everyone has the right to not be torn away from their companion. These 2 have supported each other through very difficult times and separation now would cause distress and anxiety. Why put them through more than they've already been through?

(Scunthorpe , 2017-05-10)

#514

No person should ever have to be on the streets because they wont give up there family my dog is my family member I would never give her up. Council should be ashamed

(Bucks, 2017-05-10)

#515

Homelessness is unneccessary both for humans and dogs

(Bicester, 2017-05-10)

#519

It's a disgrace that these two cannot be homed together, I'm sure this man does not want to live on the streets neither does his loyal dog . It will devastate both the owner and the dog . An impossible decision

(Peterborough , 2017-05-10)

#520

Every man women child and animal deserve a roof over there head this dog has been his best friend , dosent deserve to be separated

(Peterborough, 2017-05-10)

#521

everyone should have a home

(Peterborough, 2017-05-10)

#523

It's inhuman to take away someone's only sense of joy. If the dog is a major contributor to what keeps this man going every day, he should be allowed to keep it.

(Decatur, IL, 2017-05-11)

#524

im disgusted a dog is all he has hes his best friend n family he deserves a home as much as anyone

(peterborough, 2017-05-11)

#525

I'm signing because a dog is a mans best friend why should he have to re home his dog for him to get a house it's a joke

(Letchworth , 2017-05-12)

#526

That man and a dog aren't just a man and a dog. To each other, they're FAMILY who love each other UNCONDITIONALLY!

(Liverpool, 2017-05-12)

#530

I believe both Martin and Rocky deserve a home together

(Peterborough, 2017-05-15)

#535

this poor man needs a home just because he has a dog they dont want to home him

(Peterborough, 2017-05-17)

#543

It would be wrong to separate them in order to give them a home, no one should have to choose between a warm place to sleep and their best friend

(Peterborough , 2017-05-27)
