That poor man only has his beloved dogs

(Sheffield , 2017-01-22)

#2010

Let Eddie keep his dogs for God's sake he has nothing else and you'd take away his only company what is the matter with you

(London, 2017-01-22)

I'm a qualified canine behaviourist and can see that this dog is not an excitable breed nor are lurchers known to be aggressive, rather they live their humans and have a good laid back disposition... Something this dog is showing....I'm disgusted that anyone thinks they have the right to kill an animal for no proper reason...a dog will occasionally bark at a passing person or dog....its their way of making a comment....a bark isn't always a sign of aggressive behaviour....What if it were a slightly noisy child are we to put them to sleep...

Every time I walk past this man and his dog I speak to him and I pet his dog. The dog is so lovely and calm every time I see him, and Eddie is a lovely man. Most dogs bark at other dogs that's just normal.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

Every time I go to peterborough I give this man some money and stroke the dog he is far from vicious the dog is his companion and prob helps Eddie feel safe with him on the streets. This man has nothing apart from his dogs and they want to take that away from him to it's terrible

(Whittlesey peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2023

Let the poor bloke love his dog and let the poor dog love his owner. If the dig hasn't harmed anyone what on earth are you doing?

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2026

#2035

I've seen him in town every time I'm there his dog is not vicious and is friendly

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2037

I don't believe this to be proven. This gentleman and his animals should be given another chance. Goodness knows he has little enough.

(staffordshire, 2017-01-22)

A dog is a mans best friend

(Padiham, 2017-01-22)

#2040

I didn't realise I was living in a dystopian future, if an innocent dog is murdered, in an act of revenge, it is animal abuse, this is disgusting! Where is Valerie?!

(Wisbech, 2017-01-22)

#2041

The dogs are extremely friendly and loved

(Bristol , 2017-01-22)

#2042

dogs are a very important part of someone's life and when that someone has very little else it is inhumane to take his dog away from him

(Skipton, 2017-01-22)

#2044

I look forward to seeing the dogs, they are both well cared for. My granddaughter loves the dogs and she looks forward to seeing them, she is not scared of them at all.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2075

You are planning on taking away dogs he loves, the only family he has

(Cambs, 2017-01-22)

#2076

Clearly needs people to speak up for him and his 4 legged family

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2078

The dog should be left with his owner, he's not viscous. Maybe the council need to help rehouse this man and his dogs instead of taking more of his life away!

(Liverpool, 2017-01-22)

#2081

Not only should all the charges against Eddie and his dog be dropped immediately, but also the council staff that have lied to create this should be sacked and prosecuted.

(Uppingham, 2017-01-22)

#2082

I have never seen this dog move only when youngster walk past him getting there pitbulls to have a go at it why are they not in court

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2085

It's an absolute disgrace to have these dogs put down . I don't believe for one minute they are vicious it's just a ploy to persecute that poor man because he is homeless "they " should be ashamed of themselves

(Macclesfield , 2017-01-22)

#2088

I feel his dogs are what keeps him going, there must be another option.

(Chichester, 2017-01-22)

#2090

See very day no issues .you don't put dogs down when owner as control

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2094

The council are wrong for this .

(Kent, 2017-01-22)

#2097

The dogs would never hurt a fly and its not fair to a homeless man who has nothing

(St ives, 2017-01-22)

#2098

Do we put beaters and murderers to sleep no we don't so why do this to a poor defenceless animal

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2099

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2104

Jm brown

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2108

It's outrageous, as a dog behaviourist I can see the dog is relaxed and not a problem to society!!

(Ely, 2017-01-22)

#2115

I know how much these dogs mean to this man, they are his life, thiswill break his heart which may therefore cause further issues for this gentleman

(peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2116

These dogs are not vicious at all but loving dogs and should not be destroyed

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2123

Not knowing the full facts. I would want to know why Bitsy is not allowed in the city and under what circumstances he had been banned. With Floyd under what circumstances why he has to have a death sentence. I am also wondering if this is because of just 1 or 2 people complained about the dogs. What is the RSPCA aspect to this?
I hope Eddie does keep his 2 dogs

(Southport, 2017-01-22)

#2124

I see this guy regularly and his dog is gorgeous, placid and his soul mate. Do not be so cruel.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2143

I often stop to give food to Eddie and I take treats for Floyd too. Floyd has never been aggressive any time I have seen them. I'm sure Floyd is Eddie's whole world and it would be so sad to see them separated.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2144

Eddies dogs are not viscious and have never attacked someone while I've lived in Peterborough for 20 years

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2146

Well know face of our city and his dogs are not vicious only ever see them lying next to him

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2148

I'm signing because this man deserves the companionship of his 4 legged friend. Who is a lovely sweet natured animal. Leave them alone you flaming pen pushers who have nothing better to do. SHAME ON YOU!!!

(Bedfordshire, 2017-01-22)

#2149

Every time I see the dog it is as sweet as anything, well known around Peterborough and would be horrible if this was to happen.

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2155

Because when someone has nothing the deserve some love

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2160

Floyd is clearly a very important part of Eddie's life and is integral to his wellbeing. To destroy him would be an act of cruelty and is totally unnecessary! Eddie obviously doesn't have a lot in this world, and this beloved companion deserves a lot more consideration in light of how important he is to Eddie. Surely there must be another course of action other than destroying Eddie's beloved animals?

(Stockton-on-Tees , 2017-01-22)

#2161

I hate this kind of thing... this is probably his only family, how dare they kill his family

(Lincoln, 2017-01-22)

#2162

I walk through town regularly and the dog has never bothered me. It doesn't ever look aggressive. I think a lot of council members in this city suck at their jobs and are just trying to erase the city's character.

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2163

I've walked past this gentleman and his dogs on many occasions and have never felt that there was any viciousness. I've always thought the dog in the video (brown) looks very gentle. Please re-consider taking the action proposed.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2165

Eddie and his gentle dog are the loveliest beings I have ever met, in the pouring rain he offered my mother his umbrella. There have been many times where I've brought Eddie and his dog food and drink and sat having a cuddle with the dog.

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2173

I love giving this dog fuss every week. It makes me happy. It's never shown aggression. So calm.

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

(peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2186

We see Eddie often and neither he nor his lovely dogs pose a threat to anyone. We're supposed to support our vulnerable people, not persecute them. It is disgraceful that anyone would attempt to rob this man of his companions without any just cause.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2190

This is wrong dogs bark at dogs .. FACT!! you cant destroy these animals for barking .. seriously!!!!???

(PETERBOROUGH, 2017-01-22)
