RestoreOurRiver

We the undersigned want Stockport Council to 'Restore Our River', to rethink its current town redevelopment plans and ensure future plans, financial resources and fundraising are targetted at uncovering the river that runs through Stockport Town Centre. We believe that by revealing and restoring the river in Stockport,  it can be re-developed as a key asset for regeneration, becoming a focal point for our town, a location for leisure and a vistor attraction thereby increasing footfall and improving the local economy.
