Free Seacliff Avenue

Seacliff Avenue, located at the entrance of Seacliff Conclave, off ECR in Akkarai, Chennai, is under the administrative control of Greater Chennai Corporation. By the law of the land free and unrestricted access to and within it, is the right of the public. However Seacliff Owners/Residents Association, by virtue of an earlier agreement with the Executive Officer, Special Sholinganallur Panchayat, has erected a pillar and gate and is preventing free access to the public, visitors, and arbitrarily some residents by appointing security guards at the gate and keeping them locked. It totally violates the conditions of the agreement and the laws of the land. The Greater Chennai Corporation and in particular the Zonal Officer, Zone 15, Sholinganallur has to immediately knock down the pillar and gate at the entrance, retain control of the public road and restore free access to the citizens of India.
