If you go ahead with the new development at the back of Princes Street you may as well as write Stockport off for good. A similar scheme didn't work at Grand Central so why on earth do you think it will work in the town centre? We don't want it. It will not bring any increase in footfall to the shops or market. It will kill off local trade not increase it. Grand Central brought in so many undesirables from all over the place. We don't want that again. Open up the river, make Stockport beautiful. Stop spoiling our historical town with modern monstrosities. Have you learned any lessons at all from past mistakes? It seems not. |
