The Clifton is one of the great pubs of North West London, a landmark, and an eccentricity in its location amid the villas of St John's Wood. A piece of Lndon dies if The Clifton goes, and shame on those who would hasten that (as if shame meant anything to them!) I don't sign petitions generally. I don't like crowds, but I've spent many a jolly hour in the Clifton, as have most of its patrons. Hands off!
