Totally agree with the comments above. Send a request to TMBC under the heading 'Freedom Of information'. Ask to see a balance sheet for Stalybridge Civic Hall. Under their own rules they are bound to respond. In the request also ask about the solar panels on the roof of Stalybridge Civic Hall. I believe they are now making a profit. Where is that money going ? Once you have the figures then you can decide whether you can muster enough local enthusiasts and passionate people to make a community take over bid.
