Why was this junction left without traffic lights as all the other junctions on this road have them. My heart goes out to the families of these two young adults that have sadly passed away. I will pass this petition on and lets hope it is successful to avoid this happening again !

This is such a terrible juction to get out of onto the A580 (east lancs) I does need traffic lights and speed cameras because motorist do not take notice of speed limits

Although im now living in St.HELENS. I am originally from Swinton, born n bred!. I fully support the campaign for installation of traffic lights at the junction of A580 and Barton road. There have been numerous collisions and near-misses at this location, the time has come for Salford Council to introduce steps to reduce these incidents from happening in the future.

I think it's ridiculous they're spending a fortune putting a bus lane on the east lancs road & yet you have to cross 3 lanes of oncoming traffic at the junction in question to get to Barton Road. Let's not have this happen again!!!

Traffic lights have been needed at this junction for years and after seeing the aftermath of the accident on Sunday and missing it by minutes while I had my 8 year son in the car would urge the council to act immediately let's make a difference in the memory of this young couple....thoughts and condolences to both family's xxx

Sort it out salford. We need to feel safe on our roads .They're dangerous enough ,without added extras of idiots.
