We have lived here for 40 years. Throughout that time the pub has provided us with many hours of pleasure and friendship. It has been the same for our children and grandchildren too. Its demise is a sad loss.

This public house is vital for use as a community meeting place

Any further such housing projects in Amersham need to address the local issues of over subscribed schools, reduction of local amenities and also of inappropriate infill.

The development will destroy a local amenity - The Pheasant Pub - and leave the area without any similar social facility whatsoever.

people need pubs they can walk to. Closing this pub will mean many more residents of Amersham on the Hill have to drive to their nearest pub... surely a bad idea!

I was very sad to see that this pub had been demolished. We need to have another one re-instated.

Please leave the building as public house for the benefit of all who live in the area. Help us from these rapacious and greedy builders.

The pheasant has always been a social hub within Amersham and its closure has been a loss for the unity of the area. It's a sobering thought that a town of this size will have no pubs. The pub has been standing since Amersham's humble beginnings and is a nice reminder of that.

In the almost-40 years we have lived here the pub has been the source of immense pleasure to ourselves, our children and now our grandchildren.
Also to the numerous foreign visitors we have entertained over the years. It is the last remaining pub in this area.

The Pheasant has the potential to be a lovely country pub, with the right refurbishment to create the atmosphere. Most people would prefer to walk to their pub nowadays and Rhe Pheasant has a huge catchment area.
The Red Lion, half a mile away has gone and leaves only the Boot & Slipper in Top Amersham, which has the monopoly at present hence....
