I feel this is extremely wrong and should be stopped, my argument is why can burials have sentimental items and crematoriums can't, how else are we suppose to remember our loved ones except from numbers, I would prefer to have photos and items there with them, to show the love on behalf of myself and family.

I feel this like this is so wrong taking things away. From creamation we need somewhere to keep things that out loved ones love and how else are we supposed to remember them this isnt fair and this needs to be stopped

It breaks my heart laying flowers for my dad on just a number!! What is so wrong with putting a small ( same size as the number) something there for him?

If the crematorium cannot provide the service expected by the towns people, I suggest they stop taking our money

It is bossy small minded actions like this that breed hate of officialdom and councils. Some pathetic "jobsworth" has decide to have a "clear-up", with little thought or disdain for the grieving public. We only pay their salaries, often inflated to dreamy proportions!Have you seen what these people pay themselves?

#10 JOBSWORTHY AWARD FOR THE COUNCIL

It is outrageous and disgusting that this practice is now taking place. A cemetery or crematorium is a place for families and friends to go to remember their loved ones throughout the year and leave tokens of remembrance. I find it appalling and disgraceful that this is happening. What next, remove all the teddy bears from the children's cemetery?

It's an absolute disgrace. If this is how they treat other peoples deceased I hate to think how they treat their own!

As long as the families and friends keep their loved ones plot or grave tidy, what does it matter. Don,t the Council have better resources they could be putting to good use elsewhere.

Absolute bloody disgrace, is anyone actually offended by these gestures left by grieving relatives??? Somehow though it just doesn't surprise me. Next they will be imposing a tax on "grave goods". I think it's a lovely personal touch, treating the deceased as a loved individual. I'm not currently living in Worthing but when my time does come I really hope my relatives are allowed to remember me as they wish to rather than being dictated to by a sad no-life jobsworth.

People bring down items to put on their loved ones grave. No one else has any right to remove them, it's disrespectful and it not theirs to take. People have to pay for their plots to be buried where they are so surely it's their property?! Which would then mean if family members wish to leave items of memory there they can. They have paid for that plot, just because they are no longer with us in body does not mean they don't have rights!

My step-father and mother are buried here and I love hearing the wind chimes and seeing all the mementoes when we visit their resting place. Please do not remove them as it's lovely to see the individual styles of each family and shows the love and care for each graveside. Thank you.

This is disgraceful as it is all we can do for our loved ones. Alas I don't believe they are interested in people's feelings it is just a business to them and all they are interested in is profit which is probably why they are building more and more of the expensive gardens at the bottom of the hill. As much as we'd all love that at up to £4k a time it is not an option for lots of people and it came to late for us anyway :-(
