Think it a great idea to become a theatre as is a big community and a theatre so close to dance school would be an ideal place to put on different shows and events x

Private developers have had their chance, it's time to rescue this listed building from neglect and rot, and resurrect it for the people of Eccles. A theatre space, art gallery, meeting space, community hub - this is what Eccles is cyring out for, and we would be saving an historically important working-class theatre of more than 100 years of age into the bargain!

I used to work at The Crown Theatre when it was a bingo place. If it can be saved I am all for it.

Eccles as a community needs more communal art-based venues and this venue is an important connection to it's heritage.

This is/was an amazing building the front of it is still but it would be a shame to lose it when it can be done up to be used by the community

It is a brilliant idea that's why I have come on board to help there is so much potential and with DanceWorks and Sheila Payants just arround the corner it could also be used as a boxing venue and with plenty of boxing clubs in the area like the Eccles School Of Boxing and ShakLadys and could also be used as a cinema to bring in revinue to help keep up the upkeep of the building.

Because I'd like to see it restored back into something the community would benefit from.

I was born in Eccles and am saddened by the loss of all the iconic buildings. Don't make this another statistic

I think it defiantly needs to become a theatre where you can see the shows on the move around the UK, also local theatre and the children's phanto's at Christmas/Easter, the way forward, and I am sure the local community will have more uses for this Wonderful piece of history!

I'm from Eccles and think something should be done to restore the building and put it to good use.

I don't want to see this amazing building that's full
Of history be knocked down and replaced with flats we can save the building and turn it into something for the young ones somewhere for them to go I've try and keep some of the buildings history. Why everytimr the council want to pull down history you can make money on that building do history tours to it and talk about all its history I would love to go inside and have a look it's amazing

I absolutely love this building, I live across the road from it! There is so much this building could offer to eccles, it needs to stay here and be made beautiful again. Am happy to help in anyway I possibly can. My grandma and grandad use to go here when they were young, I'd love my kids to say the same x

I grew up in Eccles a vibrant place once,my father was a councillor in Eccles if alive would also protest, We have lost all the Cinemas, Dance halls, why isn't this Beautiful building being used for the community!
We had youth clubs ,now where do our children go ,our Amateur Dramatics, give us places to become a community once again,
Council talk of Healthy Living, let's have children learning to Dance, keep fit, Act ,meet friends make new ones, the people of Eccles need this Building more than high priced flats ,parking problems etc ......

Because you can't knock down an historic building and replace with horrible flats that will not fit in on Liverpool road, it's going to be over looking houses and cause ridiculous amount of traffic

This is a beautiful building and part of Eccles heritage. It must be preserved! So many of our beautiful buildings are left to rot and then torn down only to be replaced by modern soulless housing/office blocks.
