Close down UFV Campuses to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus

The COVID-19 is a highly contagious disease and has been spreading at an alarming rate throughout the globe and many communities.

This disease is still new to scientists and many of its characteristics are still unknown. One of the factors that make this disease incredibly challenging to tackle is that it has an incubation period of up to 14 days, meaning that even if you have the virus you may not feel any symptoms for up to 14 days but you are still able to spread the virus to those around you.

For this reason, we, the students at UFV, are demanding the immediate closure of the campus.

Rather than waiting for a case to be discovered on campus in order to shut it down, we should focus our attention on preventing the spread of this disease throughout UFV.

Hundreds of lives are at risk each and every day by attending UFV.

"It will cost us a little in the short term, but to fail to do so will eventually cost everything - if not from this event, then from one in the future."
