REMOVE THE WORKS COMPOUND FROM THE OVERFLOW CAR PARK AT ST MARY'S

We the signatories to this e-mail object to the lack of prior consultation over the use of St Mary's Cark Park in Plympton as a works compound, consider it a wholly unsuitable place for the siting of such a facility and call for its immediate removal and restitution of the site for intended use as a public car park. Should the council not remove the compound forthwith we call for the council to convene a public meeting to properly engage with residents on this issue. In signing this petition I c

Life imprisonment.

Back in February 2019 on Valentine's Day 14th my father became a victim of a brutul murder. There is no way my father would of been able to fight back he was wheelchair bound with one leg, he was very lean and weak. The person in custody and named Mr Michael Bryant also known by another surname 'McMurchie' murdered a loving father, brother, grandad & uncle.  Life in prison in the UK isn't what it says it is. I want this person responsible to spend the rest of his life in prison I don't want

In turn they plan to close the 4 UK Break Centres Alderson House, Bennet House, Byng House and Somerset Legion House along with the Handy Van Service. Start an investigation into Monzo bank

Monzo bank have been rapidly suspending bank accounts & closing them after weeks sometimes months of blocked funds claiming they will return the money to another account or your choice within 2 to 6 weeks.    Sadly this is not the case for many many 1000s of customers being forced into debt and hardship.  Something has to be done and quickly.

Axe Love Island!

In light of the recent axing of the Jeremy Kyle show we are asking for the axing of ‘love Island’ for similar (arguably worse) offenses.   as a show it exploits contestents by preying on their insecurities and has damaging effects for contestants and viewers alike. Jeremy Kyle show was axed today due to the overdose, possible suicide of former participant. Love Island has now had TWO of it’s former contestants commit suicide. This is proof of it’s shameless, demeaning treatment of it’s participa

Petition for ingredients declaration on alcoholic beverages

Within the EU, manufacturers of alcoholic beverages do not need to tell you what they have put into the bottle. All other food and beverages, on the other hand, must have detailed ingredients lists.   In wine, for example, the manufacturers can use some 60 different additives and other substances, without them being declared on the bottle.   It all comes down to an EU decision in 1979 where they failed to decide the labelling rules for alcoholic beverages. And since then, they have left things

Save Esher's Greenbelt - Say No to development on Sandown Park

The Jockey Club proposes to build 310 flats (in blocks 4-6 storeys high) and a 150 bed hotel around the race course. The whole of Sandown Park is in the Green Belt, and we do not believe this development should be allowed.   We are a group of neighbours launching a campaign to fight the proposals and raise awareness.  We know the Council is under pressure to find more sites for houses.  However, it remains the case there is a presumption AGAINST new development on Green Belt land unless it can b

Nominate John Bercow for a knighthood.

The Speaker of The House of Commons is intended to be a representative and servant of the will of parliament. As such the current speaker John Bercow is bravely, but quite correctly, prioritising the will of MPs over deference to the government, thus provoking the wrath of the Prime Minister and her supporters. There are rumours that he will thus be denied a peerage when he retires from the Commons that would break a tradition dating back 230 years: former Commons Speakers are automatically offe
