Everyone should be allowed to choose what happens to them, especially when faced with a situation that will change their life forever. It’s his choice and I stand with that; there is no point in suffering forever if there is a way to resolve it he would be happiest with.

I whole heartedly agree with individuals being allowed a dignified death. Having had to make these decisions for my mum in February and now my dad to have palliative care at home I can only begin to imagine the pain you’re feeling as a family

It has been made clear by the patient what they want & that wish should not be denied. We should have a choice of our own destiny and be able to make our own decisions whilst having full mental capacity to do so.

If he no longer wants to live and can consciously make that decision, he should be allowed to go through with it.

This seems barbaric that a person with mental capacity can't be allowed to make his own decisions.

After watching both my parents be put through hell in an attempt to keep them alive and watch them both pass away via a slow and painful death. I believe all humans and their immediate families should have the right to decide when ventilation/ life support should be withdrawn.

I fully support people having the option to end their life to end suffering. Watching my mum endure 7 whole years of suffering, something needs to change! We wouldn’t let an animal suffer so why should we let people suffer?!
