My family are one of hundreds of very unfortunate victims of mica and are fed up with this government who don't give a dam.

Jackie Moore (Donegal, 2022-11-24)

#209

My father and mothers home is effected , the conditions they live in is awful and the toll it has taken on them . My father worked endless hours to build us a new home in 2013 and this is the result . Testing done and paid for in 2020 , full demolition recommended yet almost 3 yrs on we are no further on . It’s an utter disgrace that it’s been let to go on this long and people remain in those states some with young children . DO THE RIGHT THING AND SOLVE MATTERS NOW 100% FOR ALL

Siobhan Doherty (Donegal , 2022-11-24)

#211

My family, friends, neighbours and community are being negatively affected by government failure to do the right thing in supporting families decimated by mica and faulty building materials. Enough is enough - support your citizens - get through this situation fuelled by light touch quarry regulation . 100percentredress now for all affected families

Caroline Callaghan (Carndonagh Co Donegal , 2022-11-24)

#212

It’s an utter disgrace that no one has been accountable for the mica atrocity 😡 family’s losing their homes, children not able to sleep safely in their beds !! 💯 redress for everything these people have had to deal with . This government & these quarry’s should pay , it’s not rocket science. Seem to have enough money for stupid stuff 😡

Orlaith McNamee (Gleneely, 2022-12-01)

#243

I have a house in Culdaff with mica. Because it is not a primary residence I am not eligible for consideration under the redress scheme... and quite rightly since those in primary residence are a higher priority. But as it stands, I may never see a redress scheme for my circumstance

Maeve OGorman (Newtownabbey, 2022-12-01)

#244

I am signing this petition so this scandal does not happen again. No quarry has been closed, no quarry audit published and no regulatory change made. The system is broken and we need a public inquiry to investigate.

Mary Teresa McBride (Donegal, 2022-12-01)

#261

Abandoned by government and local authorities, the victims of this scandal, at a bare minimum deserve a public enquiry into the background to this disaster.

Peter Walsh (Letterkenny, 2022-12-01)

#262

The current scheme is flawed and doesn't provide a solution for the sulphide minerals in the Defective blocks. Also, the Govt have questions to answer in relation to how they let this happen and how the ignored the homeowners for over a decade when the scale of the problem could have been minimised. Quarries responsible have been allowed to continue operating to this day without inspection or regulation. Pure and utter incompetence and systemic corruption has allowed this to happen and it must be thoroughly sorted for once and for all.

Kevin Connolly (Donegal , 2022-12-02)

#266

I live in my partner's property who has defective blocks and deleterious materials in his home and the property has been recommended for full demolition. Our government are refusing to listen or look after us

Angela Byrne (Donegal, 2022-12-02)

#267

We are one of the thousands of families affiliated by the Mica, Pyrrhotite, Pyrite disaster who are trying to get the government and Donegal County Council to do what they grossly overpaid for while trying to wade through their so called ‘schemes’ without losing our sanity.

Pat Kelly (Buncrana , 2022-12-02)

#278

Because it's cruelty what the mica families are going through.

Eilish Bell (Lifford, 2022-12-03)

#282

Ellen Doherty (Greencastle , 2022-12-04)

#303

Persons home should be safe, and fit for purpose, blocks used to build homes were not,

Kathleen Donaghey (Donegal, 2022-12-05)

#325

THIS HAS TO STOP. WE DEMAND TO GET OUR HOMES, SHEDS, BUSINESS PREMISES, HOLIDAY HOMES, PAROCIAL HOUSES AND EVERYTHING THAT WAS BUILT WITH THESE BLOCKS TO BE 100% FIXED.
TYPICAL THE PEOPLE OUTSIDE DUBLIN DOSENT MEAN ANYTHING TO THE IRISH GOVERNMENT AND AS FOR THE SO CALLED COUNCILLORS IN DONEGAL, WELL FORGET ABOUT THE BIGGEST MAJORITY OF THEM, WE HAVE ONLY A HANDFUL OF THEM TO HELP US AND EVERYONE KNOWS WHO THEY ARE.WHY IS THE COUNCIL HOLDING BACK?? Ah! ITS THE SAME, THEY HAVE TO OBEY THE RULES THAT THEY GET FROM DUBLIN.
WHEN ANYTHING HAPPENS TO THE HOUSES/APPARTMENTS IN DUBLIN, WHAT HAPPENS?? THE GOVERNMENT DECIDES STRAIGHT AWAY THEY NEED FIXING.YES AND SO DOES OURS.100%. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND ALSO SHOW SOME RESPECT.

Patricia Devlin (Clonmany, 2023-01-24)

#343

I am a homeowner whose house needs to be demolished due to defective blocks. The treatment by the Irish Government towards Donegal Mica homeowners has been disgraceful. The discrimination and disregard shown to us has made this terrible crisis almost unbearable. The Irish Government has only added to the heartache and pain with its media spin and propaganda. An independent inquiry is essential.

Denise Grant (Donegal , 2023-01-24)

#347

It’s shameful and dangerous to those that have been suffered due to greed

#352
