I am signing because I work with covid patients in community and want to feel safe and secure so I can offer the very best care without worrying about length of time of visits or contact I have . I cannot sanitise and control the home environments, let me please control my risk of contagion, and minimise the risk of passing covid onto my next patient .Caroline Stein (Woodbridge , 2021-01-17)

We must protect our carers. In hospitals, emergency ambulance crews and all staff in pt facing rolls coming in contact with confirmed cases of Covid-19. Basic PPE is not adequate in these circumstances. Sleeved gowns and FFP3 masks at a minimum.Anna George (Woodbridge, 2021-01-19)

I'm front line. Most of my colleagues have no caught and been off with the virus. It feels like it is only a matter of time before we've all been subjected to it and you just don't know how your body is going to be able to fight it. It is permanently living in fear for yourself and for your family. Feeling like we have no choice but to carry on working in these frightening times but being sent into battle without the appropriate armour. I want to quit but I can't. I'm a single mother and am doing everything I can to protect myself and my children. I can't quit. I'm the sole breadwinner but I'm scared every single day.Nicola Shaw (Ipswich, 2021-01-19)

Myself and 3 of my colleagues have contracted covid this week with a clear route of transmission from working with covid positive patients in a red area. When we have asked for PPE to be reviewed we’ve been told it must be our own poor practices that have caused us to fall ill, or that we might have caught it in the supermarket. The WHO guidance suggests FFP3 could be worn if supplies and costs allow. Surgical masks are the bare minimum and are just not up to the job of keeping staff working on red wards safe.
