I’m signing this petition because this is the very last piece of green space we have left in Brockworth and the extra strain this development will have on our village and on the community and doctor’s surgery will be catastrophic. Traffic is already bad in the village and will get even worse with all the extra cars from the new development and create more pollution.

Janet Nadin (Gloucester, 2020-10-02)

Brockworth is being completely overwhelmed by new housing, the traffic around the A46 and Ermin Street is already at a standstill most mornings / evenings. We do not have the correct road structure and local facilities to cope with further houses. I am already worried that Mill Lane / Court Road / Boveton will become a rat run shortcut traffic trying to negotiate the village in rush hour.

Caroline Barker (Gloucester , 2020-10-02)

#210

Brockworth has not got the infrastructure to support more houses. This is meant to have a village atmosphere.

Andie Lawrence (Brokworth, 2020-10-02)

#214

I’m signing this petition as there are far to many new houses in Brockworth now, growing up in the village with lovely countryside around us it is now unfortunately being ruined! We already have a huge housing estate in coopers edge.. we need to be saving and protecting the wildlife and not putting houses on ever piece of available land!!

Katie Hopkins (Gloucester , 2020-10-02)

#218

I’m signing because the village cannot and will not cope with the addition of traffic in the area...the area has a small single carriageway lane with only two routes in and out which both lead to villages which already have enough traffic. The local shops where I live already have too many cars unsafely parked because of the amount of residents trying to use them. The doctors surgery will collapse under the stress and the current residents will suffer because they will not be able to get an appointment ..for someone like me I have to go every 8 weeks for medical reasons.
Why are you not able to look at brown field sites first..used buildings that do not have any purpose. These old buildings you cannot touch because of their age so therefore British countryside and green belt areas will have to suffer ...this is not a sustainable way of living.

Naomi Wilkins (Gloucester, 2020-10-02)

Saving our green space!

kelly Noble (Gloucester, 2020-10-02)

#221

Brockworth will loose it’s small community connection and will be to busy for such a traditionally small village

John Royles (Royles, 2020-10-03)

#223

There isn’t the infrastructure to support the number of houses being built in Brockworth . Enough is enough .

Wendy Talbutt (Brockworth, 2020-10-03)

#228

It will make Shurdington Road busier than it already is. I use this road on a daily basis. The survey of the road was done in the middle of lockdown and so is not an accurate representation of the usual flow of traffic. Does brockworth have the infrastructure to deal with yet more houses?

Sarah Reilly (Gloucester, 2020-10-04)

#230

We want to keep Brockworth a village not grow into a town.

Billy Critchson (Gloucester, 2020-10-05)

#232

Having moved to the area over 25 years ago with my parents we loved the fact that there were so few houses. The new houses opposite Millbrook Academy are not even finished and already planning a new site??? Where is the logic?? The road is quieter than usual due to the current lockdown rules for people who can to work from home so the reality of how busy that junction is during rush hour has been misrepresented. During the current pandemic is NOT the time to be doing a traffic survey. Also are you going to stop people doing u-turns in the middle of the road to get to their house as this makes it VERY dangerous for pedestrians walking, other road users but more importantly the residents along that stretch of the road... many of which, I know for fact, work for the NHS. This really is not needed in this area.

Nicki Finan (Gloucester , 2020-10-05)

#237

we dont need more homes building , we were once a village but no more very sad .

katharine taylor (brockworth, 2020-10-06)

#245

Increased Traffic incites danger.

William Perry (Gloucester , 2020-10-07)

#246

Its an absolute joke building all these EXTRA houses when for one we dont have in capacity for it on the roads, schools, doctors and community areas, but also all the lorrys and heavy traffic is wrecking our roads and last winter drains around here couldnt cope with the weather, why not fix whats already broken with the money rather than make brockworth VILLAGE more like a town.

Mark Chaffe (Gloucester, 2020-10-07)

#248

We have had far too much development in Bro worth. It is losing its village feel. Also the local roads into town will not deal with more traffic!

Mrs Emma Mahon (Gloucester, 2020-10-08)

#255

I’m moving to Brockworth

Ashley Hurkett (Gloucester , 2020-10-18)

#257

I am sick to death having local residents opinions totally ignored by planning departments miles away from the proposed development.
A classic example being the current development in Westfield road, numerous residents and the entire village council raised objections, yet the mandarins in Tewkesbury approved the development. Disgraceful, what is the point of asking for local residents opinions??

Russ Byford (Brockworth , 2020-10-18)

#258

Surely 1500 new homes on Perrybrook is enough for the village of Brockworth. The latest proposal will add to the congestion in the area

Catherine Cadwell (Gloucester, 2020-10-21)

#259

Getting out of Brockworth is hard enough as it is and these dwellings are only going to add to the problem - roads are just not adequate. Will there be any green space left in Brockworth?

R Fix (Brockworth , 2020-10-22)

#260

Brockworth is no longer a village. Stop extending when we do not have the amenities to cope. we need more green space

Rebecca Harris (gloucester, 2020-10-23)

#262

Brockworth needs all of its existing green space

scott mc neill (Brockworth, 2020-12-26)

#265

I completely agree that brockworth has been massively over developed already and there can be no justification for any more building on what little green spaces we have left.

Helen Lay (GLOUCESTER, 2021-01-27)

#268

I am signing this as we have too many houses already it’s getting ridiculous!

Claire Ashton (Gloucester, 2021-01-28)

#269

I am signing because we do not want any more housing development in Brockworth. Our services cannot keep up with demand eg GP practice.

Lisa Daniels (Brockworth, 2021-01-28)

#271

Brockworth has enough housing with not enough infrastructure to support it. Plus the loss of green space

Jillian Marsh (Gloucester , 2021-01-28)

#274

There is enough new housing being built. Stop dumping your problem on us.

Derek Clare (Brockworth, 2021-02-07)

#277

There are to many new homes in the process of being build in Brockworth - we don't need anymore, we need a Dr surgery and the infrastructure to supports all that live here already

Diane Sewell (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#279

Brockworth is becoming swamped with housing, our village has expanded so much in the 28 years that we have lived here, but unfortunately our GP surgery has remained the same. Their numbers must have increased massively over the years and at times it has been difficult to get appointments in a timely manner. I understood that plans were in place to build a new health care facility which has now fallen through. Also we live on Boverton Drive, this road is used as a rat run, and with more and more houses this problem has increased.

Heather Lewis (Brockworth, Gloucester , 2021-02-07)

#282

Brockworth has not got sufficient service facilities eg. Surgery developers need to ensure that the infrastructure is there before piling in more housing.

Dillwyn Lewis (Brockworth , 2021-02-07)

#286

we need some green space left not housing

susan grinter (GLOUCESTER, 2021-02-07)

#288

I live in brockworth and we are struggling at our local school and dr surgery as it is let alone with more houses.

Charlene Spackman (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#289

There are far too many houses being built on green land - we already have Perry Brook and Coopers Edge. Our GP surgery is already overloaded and there are another 166 houses being built on brownland where the Trading estate was (by Tesco). Time to stop!

Christine Hawkins (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#293

We are losing too many green sites and still not seeing completion on brown field sites.

Diane Hopwood (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#298

The village of Brockworth cannot accommodate more houses, families and vehicles. With all the building on clay soils affects the water table which is rising and thus resulting in more flooding.

Stewart Joyner (Brockworth, 2021-02-07)

#299

No more houses on green land

Sarah Purser (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#300

Brockworth is already heavily congested with traffic. No further infrastructure added to cope with additional traffic and the fact the A417 is dangerous as it is this added footfall of vehicles will create more risk in terms of potential accidents in the area. All health care surgeries and business parks are already bursting with vehicles during peak periods too. The disruption to the community will be huge if this project went ahead.

Think about the wild, the green and scenery lost to add more hideous looking buildings!

Adam James (GLOUCESTER, 2021-02-07)

#304

The access to this proposed development is shocking especially with the fact that road will be having a huge amount more vehicles on it once all the current developments are completed. You are taking all the green space but adding nothing back. Increasing the population of a village but not doing anything about the facilities provided for all the extra people moving to Brockworth. Seriously you need to take a long hard look at what you have done to Brockworth

C Wagstaff (Birdlip , 2021-02-07)

#308

We have HAD ENOUGH!

Joy Curzon (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#315

No more housing in brockworth.

Natasha Ford (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#326

Over populated for the existing facilities.

Michael Carter (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#328

Doctors surgery/school’s need to be addressed before anymore house’s..

Gwenda Griffiths (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#331

I grew up in Brockworth and it’s changed so much. My parents still live there and it doesn’t need any more houses.

Tracy Clarke (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#334

The roads are an absolute state . Pot holes . Flooding . Busy and absolutely nothing is spent on them . It’s causing congestion, pollution and a strain on an already too populated area .

Louise Major (Gloucester , 2021-02-07)

#336

Brockworth dosnt need anymore houses built

Kyla Hill (Brockworth, 2021-02-07)

#341

The road infrastructure cannot handle any more homes in this area. Can already take up to 45 minutes to get down the shurdington road during rush hour. With the amount of new houses being built this will just get worse. It is clear that no thought has gone into improving the road infrastructure so on that bases no thought could have gone into the building process.

Matt Tandy (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#346

I strongly agree that more houses built in Brockworth will be detrimental to the environment, safety of the area of already mounting traffic issues, lack of access to relevant services, under great strain coping now with a high population. There are already enough housing in this area, practically making Brockworth a a town rather than a village on the green belt, with a great deal of homes for sale.

Pauline Doughty (Gloucester , 2021-02-07)

#348

I live in BROCKWORTH and cannot understand the increase in house numbers and no increase in doctors surgeries and schools!!

DAVID CLIFFORD (GLOUCESTER, 2021-02-07)

#354

I’m signing this because Brockworth has had more than enough houses built. The roads are not designed for the amount of traffic we now have and the doctors surgery is not big enough for all the exra people and new surgery’s keep being turned down. This development has an entrance onto a already busy road which is almost at a stand still most normal morning.

Andrew Matthews (Gloucester , 2021-02-07)

#356

There are too many houses being built, from churchdown lane what used to be a view of fields and green belt is now views of housing estates.

Claire-Louise Rafferty Keenan (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#357

I’m signing this because Brockworth was a village, unfortunately it’s absolutely oversaturated with houses. This has has caused problems with the roads, accessing the GP surgery and in general has reduced the green spaces. Removal of trees also contributes to flooding

Caroline Anderson (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#358

We have enough housing in this area but not enough amenities

Barbara Christie (Gloucester , 2021-02-07)

#362

New houses in Brockworth on top of the already growing developments will cause major congestion in the village as well as more pollution, loss of wildlife and habitats and the poor infrastructure. The doctors surgery has well over 3000 patients and they are struggling. It’s not fair on our gps and people of Brockworth. Flooding is another issue. More rainfall in the area recently has resulted in the brook breaking its banks and flooding. The bridge by the church was completely consumed by water. Since the housing developments this has gotten worse, the brook flows more harshly, it’s noisy when it wasn’t before it was still. I fear that as land is being built on there is going to be a potential flood risk to homes in Brockworth. Brockworth is supposed to be a village. It’s not anymore and it’s very sad. We need to think about our wildlife more than ever now in a climate that is changing for the worst. I saw dears on a dog walk last night grazing where they shouldn’t have been (by the hedge near the barn). Clearly they have been driven out their home due to developments and was struggling to find food. How sad. Therefore the main points against this are infrastructure-Brockworth cannot cope with more housing. The GP surgery is struggling as it is, this will make it worse. Traffic in the village will be even worse , with this pollution will increase which is not good. Lastly flooding. As green spaces are being built on where will the water go? This with climate change will cause more flooding resulting in people’s homes being flooded. Please think what this will do to our wildlife, it’s people and it’s services. This will not be good.

Holly Everson-Bullock (Gloucester , 2021-02-07)

#375

Brockworth is being over developed at the expense of infrastructure to support the developments and facilities to support people. TBC are not looking into these proposals thoroughly.

Janet Trevarthen (Gloucester , 2021-02-07)

#377

As a local resident, I have witnessed Brockworth become a victim of over-development.
There are simply no services to support the increase in population and the roads are far from adequate to cope with the pressure of traffic.

John Simms (Gloucester , 2021-02-07)

#378

I don’t want a view of houses from my back garden

Stephanie Coleman (Gloucester , 2021-02-07)

#380

We dont want anymore houses built in this already overpopulated village

Nick Smith (Gloucester , 2021-02-07)

#384

Please, enough is enough. There are so many more new houses in Brockworth, yet no new surgery and our roads are in shambles. When do we get something back from all this development?

Carol Marzuola (Brockworth, 2021-02-07)

#386

Busier roads, loss of green bank, poorly built houses. Taking the charm out of the village.

David Gayton (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#387

We do not need any more houses in our village. With over 2000 new houses already built or being built, nothing has been done to improve infrastructure or facilities. Brockworth cannot support all the houses already approved without adding even more houses. It is already gridlock on the roads particularly at rush hour and very few of the 2000+ houses are occupied at the moment.

Sandra Lord (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#388

We don't need more houses. We need a local doctor's surgery urgently. And it would be nice to have a more adult friendly park eg: water fountain, picnic area, adult exercise park facility

Alania Marshall (Brockworth, 2021-02-07)

#389

There is not enough green space, it spoils the countryside and surrounding area and too many people for schools and doctor surgery.

Julie Rudge (Gloucester, 2021-02-07)

#394

I lived in brockworth my whole life until i was 29. I plan on moving back to brockworth where my family currently live. There is definitely no need for more housing developments. We need to keep the green space.

Chandelle Joynes (Tewkesbury , 2021-02-08)

#395

I’m signing because brockworth is becoming over developed and can’t cope with the extra demand on the roads and public services

Thomas Phelps (Gloucester, 2021-02-08)

#396

I grew up in Brockworth and most of my family live there. I feel extra building will negatively impact their lives.

Lisa Hargreaves (Gloucester, 2021-02-08)

#397

Completely agree with the above. Please can tewkesbury Borough Council stop building excess Houses in Brockworth and build some in tewkesbury!!!!!!!
