Baguio is my hometown and always be my safe haven. I want to experience the next generation the breeze of pine trees because nowadays the smell and coldness of Baguio is not the same as before. I still want coming home seeing lushes of pines.

There have been a lot of tree cutting activities allowed by DENR in Baguio City so this has got to stop. The DENR is supposed to be protecting the trees, the Benguet pine trees of Baguio, but this shows just the opposite. Let's save the pine trees of Baguio, please.

I'm signing up because I know that these trees are important for the environment. We have already cut too many trees and have left too many empty lands. Why not just use thoses lands again? Why do we continue to destroy the beauty of Nature?

Veile Milanne Ramirez (Taguig City, 2020-06-24)

Baguio is known for their trees and relaxing ambience. Why bother cutting more

Gab Ocreto (Baguio City, 2020-06-24)

I'm sining because trees takes time to grow. This trees helps Baguio's air to be cool and clean. Baguio barely have any trees left, most of the trees are replaced my residence. We already have too may residential area in Baguio and it's becoming more polluted because of increased population and transportation and cutting down trees means less air purifiers. I know that Vista is doing this to earn money but think of th e long run, money can be replecd in a day, a month, a year and I'm sure that Vista would not take so long as 20 years to earn more money. Unlike a trees life it takes 20 years and healthy environment for them to thrive. 54 might be a small amount for big corporations but look around Baguio it's all houses, it's this mindset that pushes this corporations to cut trees little by little until there are no trees left. Like think for a second why would Vista needs residence area, I'm sure people that can afford a residency in Vista is already rich enough to already have thier own house or rent it. Please don't cut the trees, have some common sense. The environment is not just for our sake but for the next generation's sake. Adults please don't add more mistakes that you do and blame it on us and expect us to fix it. This world is already*****ed up as it is, pass generations have done some mistakes and focused only on globalization. Please have mercy on your grandchildren, let them breath fresh air, let us breath fresh air. Just please don't be stupid, think of the long run, not just the money to gain. DON'T CUT THE TREES.

I'm signing because the practice of excessive cutting of trees for the sake of business establishments has been going on for years and the local government just allows the issue to slide and gives zero to minimal attention to this major environmental issue in the city.

Joanne Yu (Baguio City, 2020-06-25)

I'm a baguio girl and over the years I have always loved my city. It breaks my heart especially when something involves trees being cut for commercialization. Our beautiful city of Baguio will not be Baguio without our trees.

Bia Franco (Baguio City , 2020-06-25)

#561

I’m signing this because I am against the plan of trees being cut to give way for commercial businesses. I understand that urbanization is one of the keys for a thriving economy but I believe that we can achieve this without the expense of the environment. Baguio’s known for it’s nature vibe with trees and breeze complimenting it. The government should keep it that way as this is our trademark to any other city in the Philippines and this is what tourists, a big source of income, came for.

Yza Marin (Baguio City, 2020-06-25)

#570

I'm signing this to save my hometown from being mistreated.

Leslie Dumag (Baguio City, 2020-06-25)

I grew up in Baguio and my family lives there. It has changed a lot not only in appearance but in the weather as well. It’s getting warmer with floods and landslides everywhere. It’s no longer the old Baguio that the residents are used to and it saddens me to see trees being cut down to give way to buildings that no permanent residents occupy. Baguio is not just Burnham alone, it’s also about the Pine trees.

April Subala (Quezon City, 2020-06-25)

#585

These trees are more important than that building. Think of the future. The next generations to come has the right to experience what we and the past generations had experience.

Shania Faye Pronton (Baguio, 2020-06-25)

#587
