DeAnn was a fantastic lecturer and it would be a very sorry thing for the Uni to lose someone like her

I feel as if shes doing a great job in what shes doing and that shes helping her students grow and learn.

No one deserves this! I hope everything goes well

DeAnn is a well liked and passionate member of Bangor university and a lecturer who made my time there so much more inspiring. It's ridiculous that she has been asked to leave, someone who does so much for not only her students but students of other subjects also.

Olivia Jones (Liverpool, 2019-05-11)

I’m signing because we should never get rid of teachers that go out of their way to help students.

Miranda King (Colerain , 2019-05-11)

#218

This is utterly unfair

Chloe Saunderson (Wyton, 2019-05-11)

I’m signing because no great teacher should ever be without work and more then that a teacher who goes over and beyond, and lives there job is hard to find.

What has happened to this teacher is unjust.

DeAnn is the most motivational lecturers, who challenges students to be the vert BEST that they can be, and along the way we have fun, gain confidence and learn. Absolute madness for Bangor University to let her go. She is one of their biggest assets.
There has been enough disruption without getting rid of amazing lecturers. If she goes think I will be looking at finishing my degree in Chester.

Dr DeAnne Bell is a wonderful lecturer.

Christine Murray (Liverppol , 2019-05-11)

Teachers that have helped there students through the years should be let go. They can help many more

She was a great help to my friend with dyslexia and I believe that with the money schools/colleges and unis earn, more of that money should be used to help people with disabilities. This is a personal issue for me as I have autism and there's never been much support.

Alex Poole (Brotton, 2019-05-11)

Its a disgrace that De anne has been removed from our Uni. She was an absolute asset to the creative writing lecturers and I dont know how you can advertise a module with no creative writing lecturers to teach it!!! Absolutely shocking what has been done to this lecturer.

I feel a need to she doesn’t deserve this at all she sounds amazing

This teacher helped my daughter a lot at uni on various issues. University is not just about grades but also developing people to be valuable members of society.. reachers who do this should be rewarded not discarded

The loss of staff members is unnecessary, as financial savings can be made in other ways, such as the reduction of executive salaries and better financial management of newbuild projects.

Future students of Creative Writing deserve the chance I've had to be taught by Dr DeAnn Bell. Her enthusiastic, inclusive and challenging teaching, and extra-curricular work, has improved the creative writing of many, many students.

Jamie King (Bangor, 2019-05-12)

DeAnn was an inspiration to me, always happy to help and hugely supportive. What a waste to let such ability go,

DeAnn is great and it’ll be a huge loss for Bangor students. Not to mention she deserves to keep the damn job she’s damn good at!

Katie Jones (Buckley, 2019-05-12)

The university is making a massive mistake by making such an amazing teacher redundant. DeAnn goes above and beyond for her students. She should be given the respect and appreciation that she deserves.

Katie Wood (Burton On Trent, 2019-05-13)

DeAnn is a blessing and indeed a prime example of what a teacher should be. I hope you will be able to reconsider this decision, for the sake of DeAnn and her students.

Best tutor hands down. This is more a warning for Bangor than a plea, you don't know what you're losing!

Beth Mintram (Blakesley, 2019-05-13)

Obviously a valuable asset to all the students who feel strongly enough to campaign for her reinstatement and sign this petition. It’s not always about money, it’s about quality! I am happy to support this petition and give my name to it’s cause.

My daughter is devastated that her best lecturer is being forced to leave. How unfair - just because it is easy to get rid of someone on a annual contract rather than tackling removing someone less good at their job just because they are more difficult to remove on a permanent contract. DeAnn should have earned her permanent place due to her exceptional work leaving a level playing field if numbers need to be reduced due to budget cuts.

Carol Callaghan (Bidford on Avon , 2019-05-16)

I'm going next year and the best possible people should be there.

Thomas Hurst (Macclesfield , 2019-05-17)

I’m signing because I cannot just stand and watch the school fire a dedicated and amazing teacher like Deann. Personally, she had really made quite an impact on my writing from first year and all the way through.
