I agree with everything

#202

They help so many people who would not get holidays if it wasn't for them

(Burton on trent, 2016-12-08)

Due to the fact derby city council have stopped a lot of funding throughout the years and one man has engaged the community to help adults with disabilities and have suffered from abuse and to children who have disabilities he is an amazing man with a heart bigger than those that suffer he has his own family and still puts into the community.... and to see no funding or help given to him over the council tax is absolutely disgusting, without the help of this man and sssn valuable precious memories would not be able to be made for these families, I am disabled myself and struggle day to day but I see these stories of children and adults and see those thank you posts to Mr Ryan and the sssn team and it's amazing and breaks my heart to think that this can come to an end due to council tax.... I think that dcc should be putting into it rather than trying to fleece their community a bit more

(Derby , 2016-12-08)

#208

(Swadlincote , 2016-12-08)

#213

I disagree with this charity having to pay excess charges

(Derby, 2016-12-08)

#214

This is a worthy cause that helps those who are not well who would not receive such support from any other source. Michael should be praised and his team who do a fantastc job. Not punished.

Sssn are able to provide rest bite and happiness to families struggling. Without them lots of children will not get a chance for a break with their families when they need to make happy memories together. Please support this group.

(berkshire, 2016-12-08)

(Derby , 2016-12-08)

#225

As charging sssn council tax is wrong they do fab job got family what need them
The councils and government don't know how u sleep at night . U have no idea bout the real world .U all make me sick .
Would it really hurt u not t to charge council tax.it just greed.

(derby, 2016-12-08)

#227

This lovely charity have already helped so many children and families let the great work that they do continue for the sake of those who need it!!!

(Derby, 2016-12-08)

#229

This is an amazing opportunity that is given to families to share a holiday together. Unfortunately due to my child's illness I'm unable to put ourselves forward, but have followed since they first started and shared throughout the country with families that can take up this wonderful offer. How can anyone: organisation be so callous to take this away from such a vulnerable group of people

(Brighton , 2016-12-08)

#230

Very worthy vsuse

(Derby, 2016-12-08)

#231

(Nottingham , 2016-12-08)

This is an excellent charity and dcc can waste money by having meetings in Spain all expenses paid!!!

(Derby, 2016-12-08)

(Hanley Swan , 2016-12-08)

#245

The council shouldn't be so heartless. They're wasting money on stupid things instead of supporting a good cause. Absolutely ruining Derby

(Derby, 2016-12-08)

#246

With a huge amount of respect, I can say that this charity is absolutely amazing and well deserved to stay in the community. They help out a lot of people on a yearly basis and I think without them some families would be stuck so with it being a great cause, I hope everybody can sign this and save them!

#264

SSSN is an important role in the community to disabled families and if they have to close down due to the council taking all this money away from a non profit organisation

(Notts , 2016-12-08)

#266

It's a fantastic charity they do amazing job

(Derby, 2016-12-07)

#269

I've been in full support of sssn since the day it was set up. I am now friends with the two people who the whole story was about for sssn being set up. Sarah jane who's disabled son was singled out by a holiday park and Michael Ryan who came to their rescue. Michael also gave my children (2 of them are disabled) a fantastic holiday. In order to make a difference in people's life's in the way sssn does it obviously needs cash, lots of cash and the team work so hard to pull this cash in and I find it sickening that the council are trying to themselves earn money from a man who is only trying to make the world a better place!! Shame on you derby council!! We should bring all our disabled children to your office so you can tell them to their face that you are taking their holidays from them!!!

(Nottinghamshire , 2016-12-08)

(Derby, 2016-12-08)

#305

(Derby , 2016-12-07)

#363

because what Michael Ryan does is amazing and helps so many people, he as worked so hard to give so many deserving people a holiday that may not have had one and giving terminal ill families the chance to have a holiday before they loose a loved one. He works very hard to do this as do all his team

(Derby, 2016-12-11)

This is exceptionally poor. Why take money from a wonderful charity helping very poorly children.

(Bradford, 2016-12-13)

#371

i have a daughter who is severely disabled. Not one bit of this fantastic charity is done for personal gain. Its done through caring, and seeing a weight lifted off the family, even for just a short while.Yes rules have to be kept, but common sense and decency are a different matter.

(Nottingham, 2016-12-13)

#373

Sssn help many people right throughout the country. I think it's disgusting that the council are doing this to a charity. These people put in so much time and effort and they do it because they like to help others and see other people happy.

(Manchester, 2016-12-14)

#374

I have a disabled son myself

(dalkeith, 2016-12-14)

#376

This is a good cause that's need support to continue to help people

(Derby , 2016-12-15)

#377

This man has single-handedly started this wonderful, non-profit organisation, to give holidays to terminally ill and disabled children and their families, that cannot afford otherwise. Michael works tirelessly, along with his team of volunteers, to make their, possibly, the last holiday together.
I have donated regularly to the Spondon shop, and I'm appalled that the City council, are now ththreatening to close down these shops, because of council tax demands.
I feel that the council are being heartless, in spite of the council wanting to spend £2.5m on redesigning the ground floor of the Council house. It was only a few years ago that, £30 million was used to completely refurbish the council house.
Common sense tells that in this case, council tax should be waived for these premises, and allow Mr Ryan to carry on with this wonderful project.
Please reconsider your decision and waive the council tax, many parents and their families rely on this beautiful gift of a final holoday.

(Derby, 2016-12-16)

#379

I think it's wrong.

(Derby, 2017-06-23)

#380

Isn't nice when councils take the 'charity begins at home' adage to heart so that they can pay for councillors expenses, the Mayor cars and other pointless things that Council insist on spending and wasting money, by putting extortionate rents on a real Charity that is and is continuing (hopefully), to take the word 'Charity' in the literal and practical meeting. Nice one Derby Council!

(Barnsey, 2017-08-21)

#382

He shouldnt be charged as he is doing a good thing without him all the children and familys they wouldnt have hoildays dont charge him you should help.

(Loughborough, 2017-10-29)
