Request to Retain Chemistry Instructor Dr. Wendy Pell

Many of you may not know but Chemistry instructor Wendy Pell is being let go.  This is due to her being the replacement teaching professor for Christian Detellier who is retiring.  With Prof. Detellier retiring the department loses the income to pay his replacement, Dr. Pell.  Dr. Wendy Pell, as many of you know, is not only a beloved chemistry instructor but an invaluable resource for electrochemistry.  As the last PhD students of Prof. Brian Conway, who was once lauded by the Electrochemical Society as, "one of the most important physical electrochemists of the last century," her experience and expertise would be a shame to lose unnecessarily.  By signing this petition you are requesting that a new teaching position be opened so that Dr. Wendy Pell may continue her exemplary work for the Chemistry department.
