Priority social housing for Ex Service Personnel

UK Homes 4 Heroes

Petition opened 5th April 2011 Closes 5 April 2012

We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to update the Social Housing Legislation so that Ex Service Personnel are given priority status on social housing lists whether injured or not. We believe that an ex member of the British Armed Forces who has either A: Served their 4 years of duty or B: been on an overseas operational tour of duty should be entitled to higher priority for social housing in recognition of their service to this country. Current legislation outlines that injured ex service personnel should be given priority status. but has no legislation in regards to ex service personnel who have managed to come home unscathed, they also deserve to be given priority for a home. British forces put their lives on the line on a daily basis. All we are asking for is the duty of care that's owed when they leave. Please sign our petition and together we can change the lives of those who sacrifice so much. feel free to leave a comment and please remember

WE NEED FULL NAME ADDRESS AND EMAIL FOR YOUR SIGNATURE TO COUNT OTHERWISE THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ACCEPT IT!
