#National_Philosophers_day must be celebrated on Vyasa poornima.Since BhagavanVedavyasa is original source and guru for all renowned Philosophers like Shankaracharya, Ramanujacharya and Madhvacharya, Nimbarkacharya,Vallabhacharya,Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and many other great Vedic philosophers of our society.
Vedavyasa is the Father of Indian Philosophy
Why Vedavyasa?
◆He is Paramatma himself who incarnated as Vyasa in Dwaparayuga for the request of all Demigods and Rushis.
◆He compiled Vedas
◆He composed Brahmasutras to show the actual meaning of Vedas
◆He wrote 18 great Puranas and 18 great Upapuranas
◆He wrote India's great epic SrimanMahabharata consisting 100000 Shlokas which is also known as panchama veda in order the make Vedic knowledge reach all the section of the society.
◆He was the mentor of Shankara and Madhva. All great ancient philosophers have composed Commetaries on "Vedantasutras" composed by Bhagavan Vedavyasa.
◆There is a great saying called " Vyasocchishtam Jagat Savam" which means

There is nothing under the Sun that Vyasa has not touched upon.

Whatever anyone speaks/writes is something already uttered/written by Vyasa
Why not others' Birthday?
◆Vedvyasa is the only person who is widely accepted by people of various philosophies. If we take the name of any other Philosopers people might oppose them.It might lead to controversies.
◆Vedavyasa it acceptable to all. whether it is an Advaiti,Dwaiti,Visishtadwaiti etc. Vedavyasa is worshipped by everyone.
◆Shankarites will celebrate Shankara Jayanti
Ramanujiyas will celebrate Ramanuja Tirunakshatram
Maadhvas will celebrate Vijaya Dashami and Madhva navami
Gaudiyas will celebrate Gaura poornima
Vallabhis will Celebrate Vallabhacharya Jayanti
Nimabarkis will Celebrate Nimabarka yanti
But Guru Poornima / Vedavyasa poornima is celebrated by everyone with lot of Shraddha and Bhakti.
◆It will definitely create the spirit of unity among Indians
