Linkside High Supporters

"We, the undersigned, believe that it is time for our local municipality to allow the reopening of the sport grounds at Linkside High School. It is believed that as a community of Linkside, there was a discrepancy with the use of the grounds by external associations. This was a concern of a minority who took it upon themselves to submit these claims. 

Sport grounds provide a safe and healthy outlet for individuals to exercise, socialise, and engage in recreational activities. The closure of these facilities has had a significant impact on our community, including increased sedentary behavior, decreased mental health, and limited access to facilities in the Metro. By turning away associations that develop our youth through sports, due to a concern of noise pollution, should not be a valid enough reason for the closure of the grounds. 

We call on our local municipality to take immediate action in reopening the sport grounds. We can ensure that our community members will have the utmost respect for the grounds and facilities at Linkside High School and be considerate to neighbours who are in close proximity of the fields.
