The existing Health Centre has done well for the village since 1968, with numerous extensions over the years to try to cope with growing demand. I fear the current surge in house-building may finally see the place seize up altogether.

Villagers having been asking for a larger Health Centre appropriate to our needs long before the rash of house building began suitable for the 21st century. We are desperate now and need a facility to cope with not only the population but for the nurses and Doctors trying to work in unsuitable conditions. We need treatment areas for minor operations, specialist areas for different medical needs e.g. Physical ailments from mental problems, as well as Doctors and Nurse's offices. The facilities will attract further staff too.

We are served in East Leake by a dedicated health service team. As the village is rapidly growing we owe it to our doctors/nurses etc to have adequate resources to continue their excellent work.
