It makes sense to relocate and as Redditch United juniors seem to be doing OK at all levels why dont the Council just say "GO FOR IT " everybody could benefit

There are already football pitches on the proposed "greenbelt" land. Redditch are happy to build 3,400 houses on other greenbelt land. The move will release housing land for affordable homes close to town and transport...reducing the pressure on our precious countryside around the town. The facilities are much needed for a very young town with very few youth provision

Put Redditch on the map for high quality sports facilities, there is the Abbey Stadium...there should be a cracking football infrastructure as well...give our communities a place to come together and shine!

Redditch needs a facility like this.it appears to be self funding I.e. It will cost the council and people of Redditch nothing and at the same time provide a beneficial facility for nearly 30 teams for this community club.

Redditch United FC played Arlesey Town at their fairly new ground today.  The Redditch supporters continued to let off flares although they were reminded that there were young children present and caused damage to the toilets at half time so they needed to be closed.  Seems like not all of Redditch have got behind the idea of respecting new facilities.  I am sorry for the (I hope) vast majority but I will not be signing the petition.

Redditch Council should recognise the huge positives for the town by supporting The Reds application; to deliver a sustainable sporting project and long term community legacy to the benefit of all. The Valley's proximity to the railway station would be ideal for re-development.

If the financial estimates are correct then it is a no brainer. The town needs to improve its facilities to enhance its image and encourage support. With a better ground should come more success and greater following which a population of 80,000 ought to give.

Council elections are coming up in May as they do most years. Councillors and prospective councillors and their partys will be desperate to win votes and to look good in the local press as looking after local issues. Basically the club needs to mobilise a proper media campaign to put pressure on the council. I'd suggest that they start by asking local councillors and prospective local councillors exactly where they stand on the ground relocation proposal and getting their responses published in the local press. Nothing focusses the mind of councillors more than the prospect of losing their position.

I lived in Redditch for 27 years, and feel for the plight of the club, and its survival, and for its preservation ,and to those that made our history.

Redditch is my home town.I now live in Gloucester and always follow united results.The club deserves a break and I'm sure a new stadium will give the club and town a new lease of life.
