I think it's very important to spread this petition over the right to use sign language because they constantly keep incentive to break the barriers in communication and also respect the languages of the deaf in the world. We will fight non-stop!

TOTALMENTE DE ACUERDO...

#14: Lucy Upah - Right to use one's language is human rights

Sign Language

It is important to be able to communicate with the people around you. Sign language is an important and much needed part of that process.

sign language in educational programmes

I have supported and developed programmes exactly like this for the last 9 years. Thanks to the National Institute for the Deaf in South Africa (NID) my entire life was changed to focusing on the development of new ways to communicate Educational and Tourism Information to the Deaf and blind. I love it, and wonderful things are happening in SA. See our website www.incar.co.za for regular updates on our progress. Together with the De la Bat School for the Deaf Worcester, we will be launching a new DVD-set of a Deaf Friendly version of Assistant Chef Training Material at the WFD World Congress at the Durban ICC in July 2011. See you there!

Re: I DO HAVE THE RIGHT

#592: Ricardo Ernani Sander - I DO HAVE THE RIGHT

You are so right! It is sickening to think that people of the past got away with such utter rudeness, disrespect and rediculous selfishness! Thank God those kind of people cannot hide behind their devils anymore! With all the technical assistance at our disposal today, there are NO MORE EXCUSES! Develop education for all, and let everybody contribute towards the cost thereof. My goodness, it creates jobs, happiness and wealth to ALL!
