End the Russia/Ukraine War

We the undersigned petition His Majesty's Government to stop financial support for the Ukrainian side in the Russia/Ukraine War and instead to join and assist all dimplomatic efforts to bring a swift peace between the sides.

We realise any settlement will involve compromise, that Crimea will wish to stay Russian, that the Russian-speaking Donbass regions of Eatern Ukraine will require autonomy and guarantees of security, also that Russia will insist on a neutral Ukraine.

Nevertheless, the current situation is at a virtual stalemate. Too many young men have died already, mothers have been bereaved and young women widowed. The current war of attrition is benefitting only the arms manufacturers. The whole world needs these vast countries to return to producing food and fuel and to trade freely with the rest of the world.
