Outcome of the petition

Dear everyone who signed the petition to move the online bachelor’s defence to campus,

First of all, we want to thank you all for your support and engagement in this issue. As you might already have figured, unfortunately, the senior management of CBS has let us know that they will carry the bachelor defences out as planned, that is, online.

Their reasons are mainly that they prioritize providing security and predictability by avoiding creating uncertainty for the students involved in the exams since the exam had almost already started. They believe this could both lead to disruptions in the conduct of the exam and uncertainty among students.

Diplomatically, we have shared our disappointment with them, but we believe that our letter is not in vain; even though it might not necessarily change anything for our cohort, it might have a slight impact on the future decisions of the management of CBS that we once again have let them know that we do care if our education is carried out online or on campus.
